69 Chevelle with new 355 and nice Lunati BM II cam 350 Chevy

355 with Flat tops, 10.5 to 1 comp. Lunati Bracket Master II cam .480 lift 292 duration, ported 64 CC Double Hump heads, Full roller rockers, Holley Street Dominator intake, 750 Holley carb, MSD cap and 8.5 wires, Full length headers going into a pair of Dynomax race bullets. Engine backed by a freshly rebuilt Turbo 350 with a 2000 RPM stall.

1978 Ford 302 with Lunati Voodoo cam

1978 Ford 302 engine out of a Granada, currently it resides in my 73 Mustang. I recently changed the heads, cam, intake,timing chain, valve covers and air cleaner out. The cam is a Lunati Voodoo 61002 , lift .499L, .522E, the heads are rebuilt 1973 Ford 302 63cc heads with a .020 mill and screw in studs. The intake is a old Edelbrock F4B blasted and painted Ford Blue. The carb is a Holley 600cfm vac sec. Stock 78 Ford 302 short block, did I check PTV clearance NO, did I degree the cam NO, did I set the chain at 0 degrees yes. I got lucky, it idles smooth but has a off idle flat spot, will work this out.

Short clip to let you know what this cam sounds like. I had the recent rebuild, and chose this cam. I matched the Lunati recommendation of minimum compression ratio 10.5:1 domes, aftermarket 67 cc World heads, Victor Jr intake, 750 Mighty Demon carb. headers, old Flowmasters - 2 1/4 exhaust, 18 degrees initial timing. I drive the car on the street. This cam has no issues off idle. My drum brakes leave a little to be desired. I was hesitant to go with the larger cam, but I am happy I did.

Since a lot of people on youtube like seeing open header videos, I figured I'd post this up even though there isn't much to see. This was the first drive of the car in three years after pulling the 8-71 off of it. I basically got it back together and sold it about six months later. I sure miss this engine and cam combo a lot! Cam is a Lunati hyd roller. Specs (from my rusty memory): 232/242 @ .050 on a 110 sep and lift around .530/.540. Roller rockers 1.52/1.60 I think the 1.6's were on exhaust. This is the sound of 8 MPG! LOL
