Raise Your Weapon - Guitar/Bass cover w/ Everyday Looper
I made a cover of deadmau5 - raise your weapon. eventually I will do a 2nd one of these starting it from scratch, showing how i made the backing track as well. I started by watching a tutorial on how to play this song on the piano, and from there tabbed out the guitar parts. the left hand on the piano just plays simple power chords, which in this particular video i played using the electric guitar on a clean channel. using the root notes of these powr chords, i also worked out the bassline, which (obviously) i recorded with a bass guitar. the lead played by the right hand on the piano is in this video played on an acoustic guitar. this was tricky to work out the timing for, but it came out ok in the end i think. i then play the vocal lead on the electric guitar through a boss mt2, i worked this out by ear. it's not anywhere near perfect, but i think it's close enough to sound pretty cool. the whole thing is recorded in 3 parts with everyday looper on my iphone. i started with a 64 beat click track at 128bpm, and recorded the electric guitar chord progression, the bassline, then the acoustic lead into three tracks. the audio is playing through the external input on my guitar amp. i'm then obviously playing the vocal lead over the top of all that.

Played through a peavey vypyr 75, set to the twin amp model, clean channel, inbuilt stompbox set to the boost, no inbult rack effect. played through a metal zome 2. this is all on the bridge pickup.
