I bought the new Macbook Air this week. Here's how it compares to the old one when loading Photoshop. (The older one is shiny because I slapped a Zagg Invisible Shield on it)

This is a quick test of boot up time for the new mid-2011 Apple MacBook Air. This is the base model and it's very powerful, I can only imagine what the fully specced model will run like (tip, like a powerful beast). Surely this is just a boot up test to give viewers an idea of how fast the computer starts up. You will have to either trust me when I say it's powerful for lots of other things (including Photoshop editing), or you'll have to buy one yourself and use for a couple of weeks (you can always return it to Apple within a couple of days for a full refund, if you don't like it). It's hard to show how fast the computer is in a YouTube video, a true representation of speed can only be achieved through a video showing small parts of usage throughout the day for a couple of weeks, therefore take any video showing "true" performance with a pinch of salt. It's impossible to show "true" performance in a couple of minutes just by opening a few apps sequentially. I would definitely recommend this over any iPad, any time.
