How Fast is a 4x RAID 0 in a Mac Pro? | Watch this to find out!

Hello, Today I am going to be showing you my 4x RAID 0 Setup in my 2008 Mac Pro. The RAID 0 consists of 4x 500GB 7200RPM 32MB/Cache SATA 3.0/GBs. As you can see in the video, I get some pretty good numbers off of it. It boots fast, open programs quickly, and overall is very snappy. Especially with that 8 cores in this pup. It's very easy to set a RAID up in Mac OS X's "Disk Utility". If you want the RAID 0 to be your boot drive you need to do the "Disk Utility" from a Mac OS X boot disc. While the operating is being loaded. If the RAID is not going to be your boot drive. Then you don't need to wordy about it, just use the "Disk Utility" from the "Utilities" folder in the programs part of Mac OS X. Thank you, chargerfun34 Filmed With | Nikon D5000 W/50mm f/1.8

WoW Part 2 on Macbook Pro 13" 2.4 320M 2010 Edition

This is World of Warcraft on the newest MacBook Pro 13" with the 2.4 Ghz C2D 4 GB DDR3 Ram and 320M graphics which came out in April of 2010. Due to more requests for WoW videos, I decided to include a video showing more of the performance of the game on my MacBook Pro. In my opinion, I believe the MacBook Pro runs WoW great. You can watch the results though and decide for yourself. The area that received the biggest slow down for me was Dalaran. I went to a heavy populated server and had to reduce the performance from Ultra settings to Good settings. I got between 15 FPS to 25 FPS with that in Dal. I hope this video helps some people out there in making their decision on whether or not to get the laptop. I have heard people say that they don't think of the MacBook Pro 13" as a gaming laptop. With all the videos I posted on my channel, I just don't feel that to be true. I think it handles games wonderfully. Sure, you might not be playing every newest game at max settings, but typically I have been able to set it as medium to high settings in most games. Personally, that is good enough for me. If I wanted highest settings all the time, why would I get a laptop? At that point, seems more logical to get a desktop. Anyway, be sure to check out the first part of my WoW video located down below. Thanks everyone! www.youtube.com
