Movie Trailer "Made In Romania" (UK ) or "The Independent" (USA)
Made In Romania is the comedic, behind-the-scenes story of a young English film producer who risks everything to try and break into bigger, more artistic productions. Disillusioned after years of producing low budget genre movies, the producer seizes the chance to partner with actress Jennifer Tilly to produce The Tides of Reason a period costume drama set in Victorian Yorkshire. Travelling to Los Angeles, the producer meets with a highly disreputable Hollywood financier who agrees to finance the project but only if the production is filmed entirely in Romania to take advantage of a complicated (and, it turns out, completely crooked) tax deal. Way off the radar in deepest rural Romania everything begins to go horribly wrong for the producer as he deals with wild dogs, missing actors, the local mafia and worst of all the films English director, an unstable, bi-polar ex-con who has faked his directing credentials. After a violent on-set confrontation the director is placed under house arrest by the police while the producer struggles to wrap up the production. Later, to everyone's surprise, the film is released and becomes a cult hit. Unfortunately this also attracts the attention of tax authorities who discover a missing $2.4 million rebate the producer knew nothing about and promptly jail him. Meanwhile, in a final flash of tinsel town irony the newly deported director is hired on to helm a major Hollywood studio picture.

A short documentary about two icons of Romanian jazz. Johnny Raducanu comes from a renowned Gypsy family with a long musical tradition dating back to the 17th century. Among his countless collaborations outside Romania were the ones with Art Farmer (trumpet), Slide Hampton (trombone), Frederich Gulda, Harry Tavitian and Guido Manusardi (piano). Teodora Enache switched from mathematics (graduated with honors) to a successful jazz career and performed in European and US festivals with international stars such as Philippe Duchemin, Nicolas Montier, and Eric Legnini.
