Arthur William Magart was born on November 8th 1915 in Spokane Washington to George and Mamie Magart. He passed away on February 19, 2011 in Shreveport. Art was a long time choir member at First Baptist Church of Shreveport and Minister of Music at several local churches. He retired from Bio State Oil Company as an accountant. My Grandfather served in the Army Air Corps where he met my Grandmother Lucille Byrd. As this slide show should reveal, he was loved and was a big part of my life. Art was preceeded in death by his brothers, Richard and Roger.
