Karl Malone - The Mailman
Karl Anthony Malone (born July 24, 1963, in Bernice, Louisiana) is a retired American professional basketball player. He was nicknamed in college as the Mailman for his consistency ("the mailman always delivers") and his work in the post. Malone twice won the NBA Most Valuable Player award. He is generally considered one of the greatest power forwards in NBA history, and has scored the second most points in NBA history, trailing only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Karl Malone was chosen by the Jazz in 1985 out of Louisiana Tech with the 13th overall pick in the draft. After his rookie season, the Jazz saw in him the potential to be the cornerstone of their offense. So, they traded star forward, Adrian Dantley, to the Detroit Pistons and decided to build around Malone. Malone is regarded as one of the best power forwards ever. He collected two regular-season MVP Awards, 11 NBA First Team nominations and was also selected to the NBA All-Defensive Team three times. He scored 36928 points (25.0 per game), second best all-time, on remarkable .516 shooting. His high field goal percentage benefited from two factors, namely the pick-and-roll offense, and secondly his physical power, enabling him to safely slam dunk on most forwards. Malone grabbed an average 10.1 rebounds (thus averaging a double-double in his career) and also stole an average 1.41 balls per game. Malone was a very physical player. The Beatles Mailman, Bring Me No More Blues Anthology 3
Anthology 3 is a compilation album by The Beatles released in October 1996 by Apple Records as part of The Beatles Anthology series. The album includes rarities and alternative tracks from the final two years of the band's career, ranging from the initial sessions for The Beatles (also known as The White Album) to the last sessions for Let It Be and Abbey Road in later 1969 and early 1970. Following "Free as a Bird" in Anthology 1 and "Real Love" in Anthology 2, a third John Lennon solo demo entitled "Now and Then" was to be reworked by the three surviving members of The Beatles for Anthology 3. However, it was decided against due to complications and sound quality issues involving Lennon's recording. In its place is "A Beginning," an orchestral instrumental track initially intended for The White Album. Similar to the previous Anthology albums, the cover image painted by Klaus Voorman features a collage of The Beatles-related imagery designed to appear as a wall of peeling posters and album covers. An updated picture of Voorman can be seen in George Harrison's hair in a segment of the Revolver album cover. This was the group's third double album in a row to go to #1 on the American charts, equaling a record set by Donna Summer back in the 1970s
