Comino is the smallest island in the Maltese Archipelago. While the island of Malta is one of the world's most densely populated territories, Comino could hardly be more sparsely populated. It now has just four permanent residents.They are two brothers, Salvu and Angelu, their aunt and a cousin. Salvu races in his Jeep across the little island and monitors the water supply. He never leaves Comino except for health reasons or to get spare parts. A priest visits them regularly to celebrate mass for the mini-community. And tourists come here by boat from Malta during the summer. Salvu likes having a chat with them, but is happy when they go back, so that he can get on with his work in peace.

Unfortunately many now have been sent to the junk yard to be scrapped. Many tourists fell in love with our buses since the buses themselves were unique with engines and bodies dating back decades, often built by the drivers themselves, no where in Europe would one see such buses still being used as a means of public transport in the modern 21st century. With hand painted signs,messages and nicknames of the bus drivers themselves, religous stickers,statues and cards, flags, banners and slogans and shiny badges, the photos above display some of the most unique features of Malta's iconic buses that have served the public for decades Many maltese took them for granted, but now that we have lost them we have started to appreciate them more and become nostalgic . This video was filmed in Malta between 02.2005 to 08.2005 and edited in extreme rush in 2 hours (night before my plane back home for vacation, I made it specially to show Malta to my friends and parents back in Ukraine). The soundtrack is an "Everyday song" by "Winter Moods" (Maltese band, wintermoods.net). All filmed on an amateur Panasonic NV-28EN by me except 3 helicopter shots which I took from the stock footage in the studio I work for. PS. Following the arguments in the comments I calculated the amount of shots that were done in Malta, Gozo and Comino and they are approximately Malta (60), Comino (20), Gozo (15). So it's Malta guys which features the most ;)

Birkirkara is one of the oldest towns/villages in Malta. It was already a parish in 1402. The disturbance started at about 7.15 am when two migrants sat on a barbed wire in protest about their detention after their application for humanitarian protection was rejected. They were soon joined by another two migrants who complained that although they were minors, they were still in detention. They started a fire as they called for their release and insisted that the conditions they were living in were 'inhuman'. The video shows the Feast of The Holy Family celebrated at the Bidnija Church, Bidnija. Bidnija is the 2nd smallest village after Mdina. A beautiful village situated on a rural hamlet in the central northern part of Malta. The procession was held on 17th July accompanied by St Mary's Band of Mosta. You'll see the Bidinija Church, segments of Band Marches, Mass, fireworks by the members of St Mary's Philharmonic Society Mosta and hymn by The Bidnija Choir. Bidnija Church: In the 1920s a church designed by master mason Salvu Zahra, was built in the area by the inhabitants themselves to serve their spiritual needs. In two years time, the church was built and each family in Bidnija decided to donate something to furnish the church. This church is dedicated to the Holy Family of Nazareth. A titular painting, together with two other works in this church are painted by Ganni Vella. The titular statue of the Holy Family was made by Wistin Camilleri and blessed in July 1977 by the Archpriest of Mosta of those years Mons. Bartolomeo Bezzina and a procession was made for the first time. The Feast with the procession in the streets of Bidnija is celebrated by the people of this village on the 3rd Sunday of July.
