HEAR IT MIC'D UP ON THE VIDEO RESPONSE BELOW! USE HD HEADPHONES This video was mainly made to give an impression of the kinda sounds you can get from a Mapex Saturn. Frankly, I love them, they sound gorgeous. I recorded this using only one mic but i hope it gives good enough sound. UNFORTUNATELY the camera is crap and it goes of of sync quite badly. I cut the video in parts to try and sort this but it's quite noticeable =/ but that isnt the point of the video =) So please enjoy XD

Obviously this isn't a planned performance, so there's the obligatory stick dropping, time wavering, flubbed fills, etc. Drum Specs: Mapex Pro M (all maple shells) 10x8 tom 12x9 tom 16x16 floor 18x16 floor 24x18 bass 14x5.5 snare (matching Pro M snare) Heads are: 10" - Evans EC2 SST coated over Remo Emperor clear 12" - Evans EC2 SST coated over Remo Ambassador clear 16" - Evans EC2 SST coated over Remo Ambassador clear 18" - Evans EC2 clear over Remo Ambassador clear 24" - Evans EMAD clear over Remo Powerstroke 3 black 14" - Evans EC2 SST coated over Evans Hazy 300 w/ Puresound bronze wires Recording "rig" was: SM57 overhead through a crappy Beringer compressor into an old Minidisc recorder. Slight compression/EQ added in Logic. I also added just a bit of the crappy distorted video camera microphone for room sound.

Selling a nice Mapex Mars 5 piece Drum Kit with hardware. Drums are 10"X12" and 11"X13" toms, 16"X16" floor tom and 16"X22" bass drum all Maple Mapex Mars with a dark Metallic Green Lacquer Finish. The snare drum is a Ludwig Black Galaxy in excellent condition and sounds great. The hardware consists of a newer Mapex bass pedal and hi hat stand, Mapex Snare stand, one Mapex straight cymbal stand and two heavy duty Pearl boom cymbal stands. Also includes drum throne and a multi clamp so you can set the toms up with one up and two down as shown in this video.

This is myself messing about on my Mapex M Birch kit (mistakes an' all!), approaching midnight on 7th March for my Aunty Gwens Birthday Bash. Kit was miked up and recorded straight onto MiniDisk. This little solo was the end of a 12hr day behind the kit! Was pretty beat after playing this!! I never seem to be able to play what I want in a solo, instead I normally result in playing single stroke rolls, but I hope to one day really be creative and come up with some cool stuff.
