Manipulating Fuzz Factory with Volume Knob
Just an interesting feature that I discovered in the Zvex Fuzz Factory. I only saw one other guy doing something similar. Definitely has some possibilities for cool sounds. I've got the handpainted one, if that matters to anyone. Track 3. Dos Dedos Mis Amigos (1994): Dos Dedos Mis Amigos is the last album from UK alternative band Pop Will Eat Itself. The album was somewhat different from PWEI's other albums, as it had more of an industrial influence and fewer samples were used. The opening song "Ich Bin Ein Auslander" was based on the uprise of racial tension throughout Britain during 1994, and featured an over-the-top video of the bandmembers mocking the industrial scene dressed up very bizarrely, and guitarists Richard March and Adam Mole playing very large guitars. The Dunlop engineers took great pains to bring the tone of this infamous pedal straight to you. Straight up Live at Fillmore tone and screaming fuzz is at your toetips with the Octavio. Complete with a switching Level knob to turn the unit off, the Jimi Hendrix Octavio recreates the exact breadboard circuit as the original. The Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Octavio is fuzzy and warm. The Octavio is not a high output pedal. This baby was built to vintage spec and it sounds vintage. Put your strat in the magic neck position and solo around the 12th fret and you'll see what I mean. Purple Haze has never sounded so exact. The octave effect is subtle just like the original but in front of a cranked Marshall, nothing is subtle. This pedal is best used in front of an already cranked amp, but can be used as a primary fuzz pedal by increasing the Fuzz knob. Joe Bonamassa Fuzz Face
A quick demo of my new Joe Bonamassa Signature Fuzz Face (#252 of 1000). Excuse the crap playing - it's 7:00 am and I am hungover. I love this pedal - it is very smooth and creamy but can also snarl with the best of them. Cleans up with the volume knob of the guitar very well too. Germanium transisters, tweaked to Joe's specs -this pedal is the real deal. I have played lots of Fuzz's and this thing beats them all. I may load another demo with the tubes cooking on the Marshall - the amp is set really clean in this demo to show how the pedal sounds - probably not how I would normally use this pedal - it really likes to work with a tube amp already on the edge of overdrive..
