The concerts showcase the band's full complement of brass, woodwinds, percussion, flags and feature twirlers. For some students, the marching band is more than people shuffling around in formation, blowing horns and dancing. It is a chance to travel, chance to earn scholarships to college and an opportunity to learn about yourself. The marching band is an escape from parents and the rest of the world.

Nishihara High School plays the season ending encore, Jan '01, after winning the Nationals at Christmas. Later in 2001 went on to win the worlds outside (for all that argues about this being indoors). This is the best show I've ever seen executed in High School Marching period (newly posted 2004-05 show might beat it although it was not as well executed, but it was a much more demanding show)! Highlights: The Horn's score is unreal! The Marching is More Unreal. The Guard Wow! {Missing a snare, Broken Hand, all else in tact}

1997 1st show of the year...music includes Opening Credits, Leia's Theme and Imperial March. Northwestern has the strongest college marching band in Louisiana and one of the best in the country regardless of size of school. NSU also has the best music school in the ULSystem and 2nd in the state next to LSU. Performance is at Southern University.

This is the ending to the show that the band performed at the Sprite Battle of the Bands in Charlotte, NC on August 28, 2010. The clip features "Imma Be" by The Black Eyed Peas and of course, the "Bed Intruder Song" by Antoine Dodson and the Gregory Brothers. Music was arranged and taught by yours truly, and I shot some of the video as well, along with Harvey Thompson, Keon Galloway, and Kevin Greene on the BGMM Media Team.
