Formed in Seattle, Washington in 1988 following the demise of Green River, Mudhoney has for the most of its recording career consisted of Mark Arm (vocals, rhythm guitar), Steve Turner (lead guitar), Matt Lukin (bass) and Dan Peters (drums). Mudhoney's early releases on Sub Pop—the "Touch Me I'm Sick" single and the Superfuzz Bigmuff EP—were very influential in the Seattle music scene, and helped inspire the dirty, high-distortion sound that would characterize grunge. Melvins - Leech @ Villingen - Schwenningen, Germany - Early 1991 "Leech" was originally written by Green River. History says that this song was given away by Jeff Ament to Buzz Osborne. Ament thought the song was too simple therefore a throwaway. Ironically, Ament has been saying in late interviews regarding the Green River reunion that the first demo (which includes "Leech" and "Baby Help Me Forget", amongst others) features the best songs the group has written. This particular video features Lorax on bass.

One of my personal favorite Big Black songs. I've always felt that this song was drastically underrated. It's too bad Big Black never wrote more melodic songs like this (the only other one that comes to mind is "Bad Houses" off "Atomizer"). *Fun Fact* I'm pretty sure that Mark Arm (guitarist and vocalist for the lovely grunge band Mudhoney) can be spotted in the photo of the band. He's the last distinguishable person towards the upper left-hand corner of the picture. He was a confirmed audience member at this show, and the guy looks exactly like him.

"Born without Arms" is the story of Nadia Miller a girl born without arms and adopted from Chebaksary, Russia by Mark and Tammy Miller. The documentary follows Nadia as takes part in her day to day activities thought several months as she learns to be independent. During the filming the film follows Nadia as she attends "Out on a Limb Camp" a summer camp for children and teens with limb differences. The film ends two months after attending the Out on a Limb Camp with Nadia back in school. At school Nadia's class attends a school assembly were the children are introduced to Mark a man who was born without arms and play the guitar with his feet. Mark also introduces Jessica Cox another person born with out arms.
