Sony Vegas Tutorial-Masking!
This tutorial is showing you how to mask out a part of a video. It really isnt that hard to make. I haven't really seen it in many other videos but I think it is a pretty cool effect. In this video I used a sniper because basically all of the Call of Duty montages these days are no scoping montages with a M40A3. You can do this same effect with any guns.or anything you want basically! It might just take more time. Realistic Volcano From Still Image [After Effects]
A realistic volcano scene created from just one daytime still of a volcano. Idea came when I was getting presets off VCP.. Andrew Kramer has a tutorial thats something like this. I watched the preview and did what I thought would achieve the effect. I think it turned out pretty well =] Steps taken: -Duplicated still image layer -Painted out the smoke in the bottom layer (clone stamp) -Masked smoke on top layer (add mode) -Duplicate masked layer -Mask out a defined section of smoke (add mode) on top layer -Animate liquify tool on smoke to make it bellow out -Use corner pin tool on background to make parallax effect (move lower left to the left, move top right about half as far to the right. move to end of clip, reset the corner pin, and do the same thing to the other corners.) -Adjust position of smoke at the end (position keyframes) That's the basics.. the rest is a 3d camera, "optical flares" lens flare (tied to a light), and particular 2 for the ash particles.

Just a quick test using pixel shader to mask out a video. The backdrop (trees) is a normal sprite Texture2D The video (my hand) was masked out to a black background in AfterEffects
Latex Halloween Mask
This is a Latex 1/2 mask made for my friend. I originally cast this piece in silicone, but because it started off as a mold of my head, the mask was a little too big for anybody but me. Because Latex shrinks, I was able to try the mask out a second time in latex and it worked just fine. This is also the first mask I have used an airbrush with and I like it a bunch. I molded a nose separately so it would be removable. Painting masks is still an area I am working to improve but should get better with the proper tools.

I am using the video from 2020 Hidden America don't even get me started on how poorly made and ignorant that show was. They called all of us hillbillies and further projected stereotypes of moutain people. I live in Kentucky and we are not all like that. 1. When doing this try to cut the clips at the transitions into and out of what you ar going to blur. 2. If you are trying to blur a moving object , face, etc... make many film cuts to help with the film continuity. 3.please comment , ask questions I will try to help.

Remembering the bad guy form the Last Action Hero movie I was compelled to try make a smiley face in the eye effect! This is a pretty good exercise in motion tracking and masking too and is a good place tt start if your interested in learning the basics.

3.8 Masking a Tree Using Multiple Channels: Adobe Photoshop CS4 Video
The key to this lesson is to balance the channels. In the Channels panel, choose the channel that has the most contrast when comparing the tree to the rest of the image. Since the sky is fairly distinct from the tree and has a fair amount of blue tonal area, the Blue channel would be the best choice to start with. Likewise, the bark of the tree is a bit redder than the backdrop so the Red channel will also be used. A single channel can be used to make the adjustment, though using several channels can assist in making the adjustments easier overall. A copy of each channel will be used and the originals will remain intact.

Parent the freeze framed mask layer to the null object . 10. Adjust the size of mask if necessary. That's it. You got it!
