I have officially declared the rest of the month Scott Pilgrim Month and in doing so the next several EVGM's will be the themes of the battles with the evil ex-boyfriends in the game starting with Ramona's first evil ex-boyfriend, Matthew Patel. This dude seriously looks like an Adam Lambert rip-off and since he is the first boss of the game obviously he is going to be easy. Now all joking aside his theme is freaking amazing, it sounds like its all over the place and thats what I like about it plus it has that crazy 16 bit awesomeness that brings me back to the old SNES days (*sigh* I miss those days). It's been a long time I haven't post any originals, and I want to apologize for this, I was soooooooo busy, :) This one is called " Astronauts ", and it's one of my favorite guitar work. I love the atmosphere of the song, I'm just feeling like flowing when I'm playing this song. I didn't want to make a song, who will be just like a 3 minutes solo. I worked on the atmosphere, on the ambiance, on the feeling. I really hope that I can share my emotions with all of you, and that you can feel it. When I played the song, I used a simple clean tone, and then, I added some effects ( Reverb, Delay ) with Cubase and many plugins included. I worked a lot on the drums for this one. When I pressed the "Enter button" ( at 1:54 ), it's just because I had to swith between the clean, and the distortion tone. I hope you'll like this song. And, thank you so much for your support. Zohar's arrangement is here: www.youtube.com Mathew Valente's remix is here: www.youtube.com I always thought that Zohar's arrangement added a whole new level of tragedy and spirituality to the original (his Shevat arrangement is similar, even more so, btw). It takes away most of the lightness that the original may have had and makes its contrast between bitterness and sweetness much more distinct and intensifies the melancholy of the piece. Valente's remix on the other hand is dominated by guitars whose riffs have a special feel to them that gives the melancholy of the piece a different, perhaps more brighter, 'color', or even takes it away altogether. Also, he added the Chrono Trigger theme into his remix. I always thought it gained a lot by this, because he made the theme fit into the composition so well and seamlessly that you wouldn't notice it is from a second piece. So, what I have basically done is that I have added a fourth 'clef' to Zohar's <b>...</b>
