This video will visually show an example of Maxillary (Upper jaw) Impaction Segmental Surgery that is commonly used for Anterior Open Bite patients. About 9-12 months prior to surgery, a patient participates in braces treatment. Prior to surgery, the patient has surgical arch wires fabricated and placed to prepare for this Orthognathic Surgery (please see Surgical Arch Wire Fabrication Video for details). Post surgery, patient will complete orthodontic treatment within about 9-12 months.

Bone regeneration in the field of dentistry is a subject that has once again become topical; in particular the topic of implant rehabilitation. The "Box Technique" is a new technique which prosthetically uses guided bone regeneration and only uses absorbable materials which are processed naturally by the body. This revolutionary method does not require the use of the patient's bone in the regeneration process. Instead it uses a choice of either xenograft or allograft creating minimum discomfort for the patient.
