Aerogard insect repellant TV commercial - Max Walker

One of the classic Aussie TV commercials - Max Walker's Aerogard ad! Featuring Walker and kid actor Adam Garnett, this ad was instantly memorable, and the subject of much parody - I remember a send-up on the Paul Hogan Show (featuring Walker), where glue was used instead of Aerogard...

Max Walker & Laurence Leboeuf - Too Close For Comfort

Note: I know they've been broken up for ages. I know they're both dating other people. But I've had the idea of making a video about them for so long in my head and I was finally inspired, so don't kill me for that... :D The song is Too Close For Comfort by McFly. It's some sort of review of Max's and Laurence's relationship, how close they were - maybe too close. I mixed pictures and scenes from 15/Love where they met for the first time and fell in love. For the pictures, I must credit the Italian site 15loveforum.forumcommunity.net I didn't understand a word xD] They have awesome pictures there, thanks for the great work!

Max Walker apologises for 'that underarm incident' in 1981

On February 1st 1981 Max Walker played his last game of cricket for Australia. Unfortunately in this was the game that the famous 'underarm' incident occurred when playing against New Zealand. Like Max, I was embarrassed at this very unsportsmanlike behaviour from an Aussie team. (The Aussies were booed off the field). My good mate (Dougal Hollis - a Kiwi ) jokingly never lets me forget this incident. In a recent tour of the fire ravaged areas of Victoria (arranged by AHA Victoria...where Dougal works) Max apologised to Dougal and all Kiwi's!

Eng vs Aus, 1st Test, Birmingham 1975 - Eng 1st innings

One over into England's response to Australia's 359, the heavens opened, soaking the Edgbaston square before covers could be laid. The Australian pace bowlers took advantage of this extra life in the wicket, reducing England to 7/83 at stumps on day two. They were all out for 101 inside an hour the following morning. Dennis Lillee returned the amazing figures of 5/15 from 15 overs, while Max Walker swung the bowl markedly and also picked up a five wicket haul. John Edrich was England's only effective batsman with a very patient 34. Match scorecard: www.cricinfo.com Yours in cricket, The Third Ump
