The c.neeon collection is inspired by the Russian artist and fashion designer Sonja Delaunay, who cofounded the Orphism art movement in the first half of the 21st century. The collection draws from the movements experimental use of strong colors and geometric shapes. In order to complete their playful yet clear and strong looks c.neeon were searching for key accessories. "We found the perfect match in MYKITA's modern, retro-inspired Collection No. 2 glasses, and Rike Feurstein's stylish, sculptural hat silhouettes and surfaces", explains Clara Leskovar of c.neeon, "so we immediately decided to collaborate. The brand was created in the early 1980´s by the Dalmau brothers, Custo and David, upon their return from an extensive trip that took them around the world. Throughout their journey they discovered not only new landscapes but also the most diverse manifestations of art, culture and philosophy. One of the most surprising things they encountered was the Californian lifestyle, expressed in the look of the surfers living in the southern part of the state, as well as the traditional psychodelia in the north. They were also impressed by the colorful and innovative fashion they found there, and particularly a style of t-shirt that did not exist in Spain at that time. Using this base as their point of departure, the brand was launched under the name of Custo Line. The Dalmau brothers set to work learning all they could about the techniques of screen printing and its finishings, although particular attention was given to the area of graphic design. Within the first three years this young company manages to successfully establish itself, particularly in the international market. Kilian Kerner sells his styles in: Asia, UK, France and the USA. His AW 09/10 collection, "Good night my lovely,"(„gute nacht, du wunderschöne(r),") is about elegantly jousting through life. The 29 year-olds designs tell stories. He takes his inspiration to create something new from personal experiences and emotions. The Berlin resident by choice tells stories through his designs. With the Berlin band, SplinterX, producing a song suited to each particular collection. The concept of "fashion and music" currently embarks upon the fourth season.

With the Designer for Tomorrow Award, Peek & Cloppenburg KG Düsseldorf promotes the next generation of German designers. From the huge number of entries submitted, the prestigious jury had the task of selecting eight candidates to present their designs at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin. Their fashion visions are multifaceted, ranging from futuristic looks and 1950s styles to dramatic evening wear. The two winners will receive a tailor-made sponsoring programme: for six months, Peek & Cloppenburg will provide them with their very own mentor, who will introduce them to the fashion world, giving them an insight into the various areas of the sector. An initial contract to be managed independently by the designers themselves await the two winners.
