Rangers opened up a four point gap at the top of the SPL after battling back to claim a thrilling 4-2 win over Celtic at Ibrox. The Hoops appeared to be in command when Allan McGregor's blunder gifted them a 2-1 lead at the break, but Rangers fought back superbly to seal a sweet victory over their Glasgow rivals, who had Charlie Mulgrew sent off. Samaras blasted a fierce effort over as both sides jostled for possession in a frenetic opening, but it was Rangers who took first blood as Steven Naismith (23) seized on Kelvin Wilson's scuffed clearance and drove the ball into the top corner. The spirited visitors responded with a stylish opener as Scott Brown's reverse ball allowed Gary Hooper (34) to calmly find the far corner, and Celtic soon added a comical second when Badr El-Kaddouri's (41) hopeful drive slipped through McGregor's fingers.
