Sina Weibo has about 200-million users. It's one of the services of the online media company Sina Corp, which is the MVAS provider for the Chinese regime. CEO of Sina Corp, Charles Chao told a forum on digital media they will set up a new team of ten editors to "monitor, verify and clarify rumors" on the site. Sina is also considering a ratings system, similar to what eBay uses, to stamp out who they consider "rumor mongers." Sina stocks fell when the news was aired with investors fearing restrictive regulations could harm the company. The Chinese regime's firewall already blocks social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
