Roland Micro-cube volume test
Let's see if the micro-cube can keep up with drums. Recorded with an external mic straight into the PC. The backing track was played pretty loud and wasn't quite the same volume of the real drums. I'm not the loudest drummer in the world either. The micro-cube could be used with drums but the drummer would have to lay back a lot.

The Quest For Tone - Roland Micro Cube
Another episode of "The Quest For Tone". This time i review the amp that i use to practice with most of the time, a 2 watt Roland micro cube. This amp has 6 amp models and 6 effects - reverb, delay, chorus, phaser, flanger and tremolo. There is a tone knob which was set around 4 for this video and a volume which was around 3. The effects are controlled via two standard knobs. Its a fantastic little amp for beginners and intermediate players who need a practice amp. I used my trusty STOCK Chapman ML1 and a lead that i found hanging on a fence post on the town i live in!! A great setup for way under £400. Stay tuned for much more to come!!!! This is the first outing for my new Micro Cube Amp with my band We Happy Few. Its at an indoor market off Brick Lane in the east end of London - seemed to do the job ok?! Had it on the Blackface Amp model Setting, the gain is on 3 and the volume control is half way up.

Review of the great little practice amp that is the Roland Microcube! Reviewed using an ESP Eclipse II, reviewed in another video. Apologies for the stickers! The ones on the control panel are from a Laney footswitch sticker set, "Drive 1" is covering "Gain", "Drive 2" is covering "Volume" and "Pre shape" is covering "Tone". Also apologies for not going through the effects in the review. I mainly concentrate on the core sounds, the effects are good if a little limited in parameter adjustment.
