Micro Lending

Most people think of microfinance as lending by nonprofit groups to people who are largely ignored by mainstream financial institutions. The concept was made famous by the Grameen Bank and its founder - Nobel Peace prize winner Muhammad Yunus. But as VOA's Philip Alexiou reports, microfinance is a growing industry across the developing world, but it could be facing some trouble.

Princess Máxima explaining the World Bank micro loan third world enslavement con

believersunderground on the World bank con: www.youtube.com Princess of The Netherlands Máxima Zorreguieta (UN special advisor on micro finance), dressed in UN blue for the occasion, explaining the new con of the World Bank: micro loans for the 'Third world' (January 2010). She's married to the son of Queen Beatrix. Current Queen Beatrix (together with Queen Elizabeth) is the major stockholder in Shell Corp. and daughter of Bilderberg group founder Prince Bernhard, a German Nazi, and betrayer of the Dutch people in WW2 (there was a plan of becoming the head of the 'Dutch province' within the Third Reich) Máxima Zorreguieta's father was a junior minister of Agriculture in the Argentinian fascist Videla regime. Mr. Zorreguieta shared the same extreme ideology that was put into practice with dictatorships in several Latin American countries (Chile, Paraguay, Bolivia, Peru etc), with the support of the United States and the West, coordinated by several intelligence services. "Operation Condor" was carried on by which all those opposed to these ideas were ELIMINATED (by being tortured to death or by being drugged and dropped into the ocean by planes/heli's) She is notorious for stating that "the Dutch culture does not exist." I only watched once, that's more than I can take. Copyright by Radio Netherlands Worldwide Fair Use bla bla bla

Microlender Workers Protest at Dismissal of Managing Director

For more news visit ☛ english.ntdtv.com Follow us on Twitter ☛ http Add us on Facebook ☛ facebook.com In the Bangladeshi capital of Dhaka, a protest is being mounted against one of the country's microlender banks. Employees of Grameen Bank are protesting that its managing director, who is also a Nobel Laureate, was dismissed from his job. Muhammad Yunus was let go because he is 70-years-old. The required age for retirement for managing directors is 60. The issue was brought to the country's high court, but Yunus's appeal was rejected. The action against Yunus coincides with growing criticism of microlending in developing countries, with officials accusing bankers of exploiting the poor. Yunus, winner of the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize, set up Grameen, which means 'village' in Bengali, and has been the bank's managing director since 2000.

Watch this Inspirational Story of Entrepreneurial Success Through Micro-Lending

Client Spotlight: Sweet Treats, 'The Sweet Taste of Success' Ah the familiar sound of the ice cream truck's jingle off in the distance. Your ears perk up; it's now headed down your street. Are you smiling, remembering the excitement of that sound, salivating at the thought of the ice cream treat you will enjoy? Charismatic husband and wife Chris and Jennifer Saint dreamed of transforming this nostalgic ice cream truck idea into a hip, modern business bringing sweets, rocking music and smiles to corporate events, private parties and fundraisers. It all started with a backyard barbeque conversation with friends and sweetened into a thriving business. Sweet Treats ice cream truck business began as a hobby for Chris. He had suffered a medical problem which left him a paraplegic and required a lifestyle and work environment change as he could no longer work his usual job. He needed a work environment supportive of his physical condition. Ironically, shortly after Chris's incident, the couple attended a BBQ where discussion began regarding the fond familiarity and memories of ice cream trucks as children, and how good it made them feel as kids. This is where you could say the inception of the Saint's entrepreneur ideas began. About two and half years ago, Chris and Jennifer decided to take this idea seriously and quickly grew from a hobby to a fully fledged business. The couple agreed that financing would be the first step in making the dream a reality, and pursued a financial ...
