My newest engine from The Engineers Emporium, UK. One of the first runs still on methanol/oil mixture which is best for breaking in. Going to change to regular gasoline soon. Uses a homemade Buzzcoil as ignition source and a tiny Rimfire spark plug. It has a fully working throttle governor and hopper water cooling.

This is my stationary gas engine built from scratch out of bar stock. it has a displacement of 20cc and is running at about 800 rpm in this video. Fuel is methanol mixed with some oil. It's a throttler engine with electronic ignition.
Engine has been slightly modified: - Belt driven cooling fan. - New piston and polished liner, the old one did not seal very well. Now it's 100% sealed - New base-plate out of 5 mm steel - New exhaust Pipe Still running on model engine fuel (methanol/oil mixture), that's why it smokes so much. Going to change to standard gasoline as soon as the new piston is well broken in.
This just followed me home from an auction. Was made by McDonough Power Equipment, Inc. in the late 50s or early early 60s and is a Model 10. Has a Lauson/Tecumseh engine with forward and reverse. It has the original interior with working lights. The front axle is a cast I-beam like the original.

This maytag model 72 two cylinder multi-motor was built in the 9th month of 1937, serial #825313 making it the 15313th twin cylinder built, #810000 being the first # of this design, we gonna take-er apart real good! year model and some rements of the original green color is a clue as to the color when new, so I will paint it dark hunter green, rustoleum enamel, four coats, over rusty metal primer after it has been derusted in the electrolysis tank, hope you will find this step by step rebuild helpful and enjoyable to follow along with as I get-er done, on the first look over I see we gonna need some replacement parts, such as 2 new sparkplugs & wires with ends, v-belt pully, gas tank cap, decals, piston rings, gaskets, pedal return spring, #4 taper pin, muffler, pivot pin, ratchet wheel, main bearing housing, 4 aluminum wrist pin caps, segment gear, plus some more stuff, i'm gonna use kreem fuel tank sealer inside the cast iron gas tank, this is a complete engine so I will use the same year parts in the rebuild, check back for pt. 2, and to think this two cycle, gasoline engine started life under a washing machine, life as I see it from here on the east coast of Arkansas, leave a comment, subscribe, pass it on

...Now where is that sky hook? we gonna hang-er up! the world famous, amazing, junkyard special, a 1935 single cylinder maytag multi-motor, gas engine, washing machine engine, I done been to the big store and got Gasola, thread sealant (soft set) with ptfe, this is some good stuff...the gas tank has been cleaned and sealed with Kreem fuel tank liner, this is also some good stuff, hand cut gasket,cut to fit with a hardback razor blade, awesome how that works. made a modified tool for the gas tank top bolts, no duck tape or super glue used, we done bolted-er together, going to hang her up and spray on three coats of rust oleum dark hunter green over rusty metal primer, it all started out as a pile of rusty broken, junk parts, this is not restoration,thank you, just fixed up, rebuilt, repaired as needed, I found that old antique worn out white mountain ice cream freezer, it was in the back of the barn, back by the electrolysis tank ,,now what, homemade, root beer flavored,no milk ice cream?, I think so, just some el-cheapo engineering here in the backyard shop, the story goes on, leave a comment, subscribe, pass it on, just gonna get-er running,,shopdogsam

My Homemade engine is now running on pure gasoline like used in cars. It was a cold day (7 °C), so the cooling fan belt was removed. Forced cooling was not required. I guess it's running at about 500 to 600 rpm. It won't go much slower, then it will stall. At this speed, it will run about 60 minutes with 20 mL of fuel. Enjoy!
What? you are going to ask yourself, what?, just remember you heard it here first, levelness,, the definition is - a horizontal plane or line, in this case you should look at it sideways, just the basics, repair the hard to do repairs first and the easy repairs will be easier, antique, vintage 1937 maytag multi-motor, eisemann flywheel magneto, model 72-D, 5/8 HP, kick start, opposed piston, twin cylinder, 2-cycle, air cooled, gasoline engine, made in the USA,Newton, Iowa, flywheel clean up, you gotta do it, this cleanup only took about 45 minutes total time, filing, I used a course tooth followed by a fine tooth, degreasing, lacquer thinner (safety first), sanding, on this one I started with 240 grit emery cloth followed with 320 wet or dry sandpaper, next use the brown color scotch sanding pad, wash down and blow dry,, painting, rust-oleum aluminium enamel, I use the brush type, one coat only, done went and get-er done, next,, and the shop tip of the day is when folding sandpaper, use the three fold method, leave a comment, subscribe, pass it on,, to be continued, did someone say green paint?

hi, here's a nice like new homelite 25CC engine I converted for giant scale radio control airplane use. I painted it with Dupli-Color 500 degree high heat engine green paint. it looks like John Deere green. I cleaned and rebuilt a carburetor off a homelite 30CC and put that on it. it hand starts very easy and idles forever at 1500 RPM and gets 7400 RPM up top with a big master airscrew 18x6 classic series propeller. its for sale! thanks for watching and God Bless***** Gary. hi, heres a little gasoline engine I converted from a craftsman weedwacker. I cut the excess aluminum off of it. it has a backplate mount, I vated and rebuilt a 2 needle valve ZAMA carb,I knurled the prop adaptor and cut down the flywheel, I gutted the muffler and welded a pipe on. you got a straight shot to the carb, no special linkage required. it has great compression! and hand starts easy!!! (NO STARTER REQUIRED) I painted it with high heat engine paint. its ready to mount and fly. I think it will fly a 90 to 120 size glow airplane airplane very well. you can also put a 3 blade prop on it for ground clearence. its for sale. thank you, Gary. ;-)

Flying shop rags were popular after we broke our planes as kids. We were addicted to these Cox glow engines, so we had to run them, just to run them! Today, I run the smallest of the Cox engines (.010) and show how to make flying shop rags. In those days, we usually ran and tried to catch them as they landed. The Tee Dee series, without a doubt, is Cox's greatest and most famous engine. This engine was "THE" engine to use in competition for many years. It was designed by Bill Atwood who had been hired by Cox specifically to produce the Tee Dee line of competition engines. The important features of the Tee Dee are as follows: · Tapered cylinder and a lightened and tapered piston o Result: tighter piston fit at TDC and less piston mass = more performance. · Two deep bypass ports with two bypass booster grooves on each bypass port, extending slightly above the main bypass groove o Result: significantly better air fuel mixture induction = more performance · True peripheral venturi o Result: more efficient fuel intake, fuel draw and induction = more performance · Precision balanced and milled crankshaft o Result: better fuel intake, better balanced engine = more performance The Tee Dee was tested by Aeromodeller Magazine in 1962 and the output power was recorded to 27500 RPM. In 1973 the bypass porting, crank shaft timing and venturi were modified slightly and a mesh screen was added to the venturi to keep out dirt. Challenger V8 Ignition: Spark Bore: 1 in. Stroke: 1 in. Displacement: 100 cc Max RPM: 6000 This engine was built early in my gasoline engine building career. I received the castings and drawings as a Christmas gift from my wife. I had it running about five months later. This is the engine that creates the most interest at the shows. So much so that I've had to rebuild it twice because of wear. As designed, it had some major shortcomings. The conrods were bronze castings which promptly wore grooves in the crank. These were replaced with rods machined from 2024 aluminum. Pistons were remade and the engine fitted with rings made from the George Trimble method. Oil control rings are a necessity as the engine smokes badly without them. An electric start system was added and the engine now runs with the push of a button.

First start in who knows how long?, twin cylinder maytag multi-motor, model 72,, in original unrestored condition, the maytag twin is a very smooth running machine, due to it's opposed piston and cylinder design, as a unit they can't be beat, machine & engine that is, this engine came new on a washing machine, as found it appered to be in very good condition but to be later discovered, that was not the case, gettin' past the shop worn,rusty,bad paint,parts missing, it needs a lot of tender loving care (TLC), I guess you get it by now, I do like these old antique maytags, kick start, two cycle, air cooled, 16-1 gas oil mixture, smokey, smelly, oily, and only 5/8 HP, it don't get much better, oh yes the engine is equipped with an eisemann model 72-DA flywheel assembly and magneto backing plate, these are very good magnetos if kept clean and in good repair, on this engine the the ignition coil was a little weak, so I closed the gaps on the sparkplugs .020 & points .012, and remember boths plugs fire at the same time, the crankcase bushings are worn out so I close the air control cap on the air intake tube to make up for the extra air, leave a comment, subscribe, pass it on,,,,, from the east coast of Arkansas, duck tape girl update, she got two wooden mules at the county hog auction last week, she needed them to go along with her crazy scrap iron horse,,, that mind movie goes on and on,,,

This large 26cc gas engine-powered RC helicopter is used as a camera platform for taking still and video pictures of events such as the motorcycle racing that was happening at the racetrack next to our flying field. You won't find this at Hobby King. It has an onboard alternator (a brushless motor actually) which keeps the batteries charged. In fact, the batteries haven't needed charging for about 6 months, thanks to this system. It is incredibly stable and he gets over 20 minutes flying out of a tank of gas. Not cheap though -- about NZ$12000 (US$10K). But, it is an alternative to those quadcopters and tricopters people are using.

After a long period of just sitting in the display case I finally made the time to get my 1/3 scale 302 Ford V8 engine running again. I made an entirely new distributor and points along with a different cap. I think the ignition problems are sorted out I just have to get the carburetion fine tuned. This video is the first one taken with all the changes. I only have it running at one speed till I figure out what adjustments are needed.
