Build a model train layout: Model railroad scenery Part 1 how to WGH

This video series, hosted by Michael Gross, will teach you the simple how-to workshop techniques you need to know to take an HO scale electric train set and make it a scenic model railroad. Well show you how to build a 4x8 model train table (benchwork) from plywood, lay sections of track, create easy realistic scenery using foam and paint, assemble model buildings, and wire your layout with a DC power pack. When youre done, youll have a railroad that operates well and looks real. Our techniques would work in N, O, S, G, or Z scale also. This video is scene 7, Scenery part 1 how-to. Model Trains

This was shot at the Model Trains Museum at Balboa Park in San Diego. I had not seen many model train layouts and certainly never filmed any, but I had to try and capture some of what they had there. They have several large and detailed layouts and I highly recommend the museum to anyone who loves trains.

Model Trains San Diego Pt 1

Decided to shoot some video at the Balboa Park Train Museum. It is the largest model train club in the Nation, according to their website. I've had a lot of people around me - making lots of noise, so I decided to add my own sound effects. Keep in mind, I did not use the correct horn on a few of the shots. If anyone can tell me where I can down load a lot of train sounds, horns, etc., please advise. That way I can perhaps get it right next time. Part 2 will also be posted when I have a chance. Enjoy and please comment.
