(One of my favorite fanmade phrases Mokou says) High Quality (Highly recommended) www.youtube.com A video of me fighting and slightly less barely defeating the immortal phoenix girl, Fujiwara no Mokou Fujiwara no Mokou (even her name depicts greatness) is the ex-boss of the game Imperishable Night, the 8th installment of the Touhou Project. The Touhou Project is a series of danmaku shooters. Danmaku is a term than can be loosely translated (and quite aptly in my opinion) into "curtain of fire" or "bullet hell", thus denoting game were high density in bullet is more important that a lot of enemies. The series was created and is managed by the one man team Team Shanghai Alice, composed only of ZUN. A little Touhou/Japanese folktale history lesson: Mokou is the disliked daughter of an aristocrat. Said aristocrats was humiliated by Kaguya Horaisan, a "commoner", when he asked for her hand in matrimony and she responded by giving him an impossible request. Kaguya, being actually a Lunarian princess, went back to the moon and left behind with the emperor the Japanese version of the fountain of youth, the Hourai Elixir. This elixir was scheduled to be destroyed by the emperor's order, but was stolen last minute by Mokou, who had made her objective in life to avenge her father and kill Kaguya. This is how Mokou achieved her immortality and created a bitter rivalry with Kaguya, who happens to also be immortal due <b>...</b>

www.youtube.com - High Quality www.youtube.com -HD Mokou has a couple really hard attacks, but at lot of her attacks come down to memorization of a trick or two in order to misdirect most of her bullets. Some of those tricks take a lot of practice, though. All in all I'm quite proud of this run. I wasn't really going for score but I still managed to score fairly well. The only real mistakes are on 'Fujiyama Volcano' where I was a nervous wreck because I didn't want to lose the run and of course 'Imperishable Shooting' which is only there to boost score and so I fail with flying colors. My god, liquefied humans are terrifying. So while I don't have much to say about THIS ending, I'll mention the original ending. Some time ago, Koki posted essentially a summary of the whole scenario on the BBS. I won't get into exact differences (well, YDMT-IV didn't exist), but the ending is significantly different. After beating Cindleman, everyone gathers around the rubble of the robot. Mokou laments her lack of a rival. But Rinnosuke says that since Kaguya is immortal, she's alive somewhere under all the rubble. Mokou swears to herself that it's her duty to find her. And then... "Hey..." "Hey..." "HEY!!" Kaguya: "Excuse me, why are you sleeping?" Mokou: "Uh, I just remembered something..." Kaguya: "So are we fighting today?" Mokou: "No... how about we go for a walk together?" So I didn't bother with the Synthesis Defense System because if it is even possible to beat it, it'd be a really boring battle, and I'm fairly certain not much happens when you beat it anyway. Also, Koki showed dying to it in the regular videos, but waited for a bonus video to show the other secret bosses. The path through the forest is up, left, down, down, left, down, left, down, right, right, down, right. How do you figure that out? "Usa-Sama Usa-Usa Hima-Usa" gives it in terms of turns: right, left, left, straight, right, left, right, left, left, straight, right, left. How do you get that from rabbit noises? The second boss battle. Still relatively straight forward. Some differences are present compared to the demo however. The most notable one being for the third spellcard, Mokou's fireballs do not disappear at all. I have no idea what is up with the last spellcard too, I'm being hit by invisible things which is really annoying. On another note, I made silly errors on the first two spellcards but the combo on the third spellcard was completely improvised and it worked beautifully which made up for the previous blunder. So this is my first time beating her... Like my Flandre video, not a great battle. I must say Mokou is WAY easier than Flandre, though. It took me only 2 days of practice to beat her, but 2 weeks for Flan. What can I do next ? Maybe unlocking SA Extra Stage to see what Koishi can do. Or try Ran/Yukari. Well, I'll think about this... *There's some big lag, especially on Xu Fu spellcard. It was not lagging like that when I beat Mokou.*

It's about time I made a Touhou song!! ^o^ So like, I had many reasons to make this theme in particular cuz: 1) I needed to make a Touhou song BAAAAADLY 2) I wanted to see a new Mokou's Theme since the others are kinda old. 3) I know two people who like Mokou, one of em who has a birthday today (Happy Birthday Val!! 8D) 4) CUZ IT'S TOUHOU HERPDERP x3 I'll say one thing about this video, it was so dang hard to make! Remember this from my Walfas tutorial? Well, somebody requested the full version for a contest based on the ad. It was originally slated for my Touhou Walfas magnum opus, Shanghai Alice's Flying Maiden, but then all that Walfas puppetry started eating at my hard drive space, and combined with school and missing lines from VAs, I couldn't get around to finishing it (but I still am working on it between 5DM, so it WILL be done one day). Now there's only one question left: other than Yukari's place and possible the Kourindou, have TVs reached Gensokyo yet? Because it'll be weird airing this for nobody to see. Take off! Funny how robot-constructing sounds can apparently be reused as robot-deconstructing sounds. (Sounds which apparently follow me no matter what I do... well, okay, that's being kind of silly.) The fights are automatic, rather unfortunately. I guess Koki just had a perfect vision of how to make those scenes look awesome, and that vision required an exact series of actions the player was unlikely to execute on their own. Either that, or he didn't want to program a new battle menu that's only used in a few battles. I swear, that's the best video cut I've ever made. STUPID LIST 6:57: I thought she was referring to Cindleman, but I think she really was thinking "yeah, there are probably just some Dead Soldiers piloting this thing."

Uwhawhawhawha! I apologize so, so much for butchering Death Knight's attack names. I could only confirm the spelling of one of them. (Which was one of Yuka's smashes in Touhou Mother, actually... but naturally, I didn't bother trying to get it right back then.) Note that Mokou always learns Al-Phoenix from that figh, not from reaching Level 9. She still hasn't learned Flare, actually, and I guess she never will unless I decide I really need it for the final boss. Pretty sure that no matter how things split, I'll post the rest of the scenario tomorrow. (Which is what Koki did.) Koki really likes zombies that aren't quite zombies, doesn't he? I know the intro is kind of weird, but I needed to show off Rinnosuke's item-identifying ability sometime. I would have preferred to show it in a shorter video, but I figured you should know where YDMT-IV got that Destruction Beam attack. Serious-bug-I-had-to-fix number one: Koki accidentally hit a button somewhere which made Watanabe do absolutely nothing. I didn't think there was anything wrong with this earlier, but then I realized you NEEDED to do... that thing with him to trigger the kidnapping. Easy fix, though! Man, editing this gave me Touhou Mother flashbacks. I think it might have been better if I had done some grinding, but geez. I'm just glad I realized Self-Flame gives you stat boosts. Next is the dungeon Koki recorded as three videos he posted all at once. Well, that should be fun. STUPID LIST 2:21: Not TOO stupid, but in the process of trying to word it better, I somehow omitted the fact that this was specifically because of rain.
