Pad & Quill Octavo iPad 2 Moleskine Case... In this video I am going to show you my new Octavo Moleskine case from Pad & Quill for my iPad 2. This is not a mass produced case from overseas or some simple slip on case.. but a custom.. handmade case out of wood and leather made right here in the USA.. I will do a quick unboxing and then a quick review. Being this is my first moleskine notebook type case.. i wanted to show you how it looks without the ipad inserted and then show you how it looks with the ipad. including closeups.. some out of focus (thanks camera) and then some very close and in focus lol..I do a quick demonstration on how it will stand up on its own.. in both portrait mode and landscape mode for movies and such.. It will stand up on its own on a rough surface.. I am not sure how it will do on a slick surface.. i also show you the typing angle real quick as well as the sound from a video being played.. Which after messing with it last night the sound is so much better because ALL of the sound is redirected forward towards you instead of away.. so it sounds much louder.. I also do a SHAKE TEST.. and it did great.. it didnt move at all.. very snug inside the case.. so.. I hope you like my quick review.. I wanted to also point out that some other manufacturers out there also sell a case like this.. but one thing that most manufacturers overlook is customer service.. Here it is a ingenious way to hide your Kindle away to malicious eyes. Just take a Moleskine, cut the pages with a cutter, put your kindle in the last page pocket, after cutting the bottom edge of the pocket and gluing the black strips up and down the pocket to fit to the kindle depth. Amazon has this case in stock for 59.99. I really love the moleskine look & feel. The case is awesome. I love the bookbook by twelve south but this gives the iPad 2 a different feel. The biggest negative is that the case is very difficult to use in a movie viewing stance but this is not a deal breaker for me. After being disappointed with two different Dodocase iPad cases, I decided to try out the Portenzo iPad Case. Here, you'll see me take it out of the box and test it out to see how well it does out of the box. Spoiler alert: It definitely does well on the shake test. Disclosure: After seeing my disappointment with the Dodocase, the guys at Portenzo sent me this case gratis, but with no strings attached.

As you can see, the tags on the items match up to the half-circles by the descriptions in the Moleskine. The audio is poor, I know. Emily is holding the camera, Ginny is to the left, and George is to the right. The conversation at the beginning is mostly Ginny berating herself for not more scientifically detailing where she dug up the valise, followed by a brief discussion of what the time-travel rules must be in this case. Then comes another berating by Ginny, but this time towards George whose notions of time-travel only come from 'The Time Traveler's Wife' and not any decent sci-fi sources like Doctor Who. He is later redeemed.

Some things that I forgot to mention in the review: - the case does have sleep/wake feature like the smart cover - All ports are easily accessible except for the mute button, which is kind of hard to reach - Oops I forgot the sound test, but I guarantee that sound doesn't muffle while the ipad is in the case. - Ipad tray is made of American Maple wood. -Portenzo have awesome customer service Summary: Pros: Durable, nice notebook type feel, snug ipad fit, looks unique from other ipad 2 cases, great customer service from portenzo, feels durable, and last but not the least, the case looks superb. Cons: Long waiting production time (patience is a virtue), expensive, typing angle is not that steep, ipad's angle for viewing is limited, the spine is moving a bit.
