The Monroes The Intruders Part 1

Episode 1 This is the very first episode of the telivision series "The Monroes." This episode shows what happened to the parents, as well as the determination of a brother and sister who took on the responsibility of raising their two younger brothers and younger sister with the help of a lone Indian, they call Jim. This is an excellent television show that only lasted one season, sadly. I think it could have lasted at lot longer. I watched it when it came on CBN when I was a child and LOVED it! Like Westerns? min hyllest til The Monroes / my tribute to The Monroes

NORWEGIAN / NORSK: min hyllest til The Monroes. Dette er min hyllest til 1 av mine favoritter, popduoen The Monroes. ENGLISH / ENGELSK: my tribute to The Monroes. This is my tribute to 1 of my favorites, the popduo The Monroes. The Monroes - Cheerio The Monroes was formed in 1982 by Lage Fosheim (vocals) and Eivind Rølles (vocals and guitars (+ percussion on their albums)). Both from the Oslo-band Broadway News, who've had experienced some success between the years 1979-82. Their debut album "Sunday People" was recorded in Silence Studio in Sweden the winter of '83. Their first single, "Sunday People", was released in June '83, on Bahama Records. "Sunday People" was a huge success, it went to the top of the charts and stayed there several weeks. The song was also accompanied by Norway's first real music video. The album sold over 130.000 copies and stayed in the charts for months. They also won to Spellemannspriser that year, one of them "Årets Spellemann 83". The duo's second video, for the song "Arabian Nights", was played in Marrakech, Morocco, in the fall of 1983. In December '83 The Monroes signed a contract with EMI International i London. In the beginning of 1984 most of the time was spent promoting "Sunday People" internationally. In the fall of '84 The Monroes played a concert for Sky Channel in London, which was broadcasted all over Europe. The summer, 1985 they released the first single from the new album "Face Another Day". "Cheerio" was an even bigger hit ...

This is one of the most difficult things I have ever played and sang simultaneously...the video is over 9 min in length. A picture falls off the piano at 8:50...couldn't have stayed up there for another 20sec!!??...whatever, guess it gives the vid a little more character. It's not perfect, but I'm happy with this take overall. Thanks for listening! Mp3 and video is available from my free podcast. Marilyn Monroe - Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend [WITH LYRICS]

another completely fan-made video for Marilyn Monroe :) ~~I OWN NOTHING~~ Lyrics: The French are glad to die for love. They delight in fighting duels. But I prefer a man who lives And gives expensive jewels. A kiss on the hand May be quite continental, But diamonds are a girl's best friend. A kiss may be grand But it won't pay the rental On your humble flat Or help you at the automat. Men grow cold As girls grow old, And we all lose our charms in the end. But square-cut or pear-shaped, These rocks don't loose their shape. Diamonds are a girl's best friend. Tiffany's! Cartier! Black Starr! Frost Gorham! Talk to me Harry Winston. Tell me all about it! There may come a time When a lass needs a lawyer, But diamonds are a girl's best friend. There may come a time When a hard-boiled employer Thinks you're awful nice, But get that ice or else no dice. He's your guy When stocks are high, But beware when they start to descend. It's then that those louses Go back to their spouses. Diamonds are a girl's best friend. I've heard of affairs That are strictly platonic, But diamonds are a girl's best friend. And I think affairs That you must keep liaisonic Are better bets If little pets get big baguettes. Time rolls on, And youth is gone, And you can't straighten up when you bend. But stiff back Or stiff knees, You stand straight at Tiffany's. Diamonds! Diamonds! I don't mean rhinestones! But diamonds are a girl's best friend.

You can download the entire interview including the first part featuring Milton in his studio at www.imarilyn.com Marilyn Monroe (born Norma Jeane Mortenson;[1] June 1, 1926 -- August 5, 1962), was a Golden Globe award winning[2] American actress, singer, model, Hollywood icon,[3] cultural icon, fashion icon,[4] pop icon and sex symbol. She is known for her comedic acting roles and screen presence. Monroe became one of the most popular movie stars of the 1950s and early 1960s. During the later stages of her career, she worked towards serious roles and her fame surpassed that of many entertainers of her time.[5] Her death at thirty six was classified as "probable suicide."[6] Many individuals including Jack Clemmons, the first LAPD Police officer to arrive at the death scene[7] believed that she was murdered.[8] She is the only female on the Forbes top earning dead celebrities list.[9] While her husband was in the Merchant Marine during World War II, Norma Jeane Dougherty moved in with her mother-in-law where she started working in the Radioplane Munitions Factory owned by Hollywood actor Reginald Denny. She sprayed airplane parts with fire retardant and inspected parachutes. During this time Army photographer David Conover snapped a photograph of her for a YANK magazine article. The Monroe Brothers - New River Train (1936)

William Smith Monroe (September 13, 1911 -- September 9, 1996) was an American musician who helped develop the style of music known as bluegrass, which takes its name from his band, the "Blue Grass Boys," named for Monroe's home state of Kentucky. Monroe's performing career spanned 60 years as a singer, instrumentalist, composer and bandleader. He is often referred to as The Father of Bluegrass. Monroe was born on his family's farm near Rosine, Kentucky, the youngest of eight children of James Buchanan "Buck" Monroe and Malissa Vandiver Monroe. Malissa and her brother, Pendleton "Pen" Vandiver, were both musically inclined, and Monroe and his siblings grew up playing and singing music in the home. Because his older brothers Birch and Charlie had already laid claim to the fiddle and guitar, respectively, young Bill was left with the smaller and less desirable mandolin during family picking sessions. Monroe later recalled that his brothers insisted that he remove four of the eight strings from the instrument so that he would not play too loudly. Monroe's mother died when he was ten years old, followed by his father six years later. Because his siblings had moved away from Rosine, Monroe lived for about two years with his uncle Pen Vandiver, often accompanying him when Vandiver played the fiddle at local dances. This experience later inspired one of Monroe's most famous compositions, "Uncle Pen," recorded in 1950; on a 1972 album, Bill Monroe's Uncle Pen, Monroe recorded a ...

Tribute to Bill Monroe and his Blue Grass Boys - "Mule Skinner Blues" performed live from the "Bean Blossom" album recorded in 1973. William Smith Monroe (September 13, 1911 -- September 9, 1996) was an American musician who helped develop the style of music known as bluegrass, which takes its name from his band, the "Blue Grass Boys," named for Monroe's home state of Kentucky. Monroe's performing career spanned 60 years as a singer, instrumentalist,... composer and bandleader. He is often referred to as The Father of Bluegrass. In 1949, after signing with Decca Records, Monroe quickly regrouped, entering the "golden age" of his career with what many consider the classic "high lonesome" version of the Blue Grass Boys, featuring the lead vocals and rhythm guitar of Jimmy Martin, the banjo of Rudy Lyle (replacing Earl Scruggs), and fiddlers such as Merle "Red" Taylor, Charlie Cline, Bobby Hicks and Vassar Clements. This band recorded a number of bluegrass classics, including "My Little Georgia Rose," "On and On," "Memories of Mother and Dad," and "Uncle Pen," as well as instrumentals such as "Roanoke", "Big Mon", "Stoney Lonesone", "Get Up John" and the mandolin feature "Raw Hide." Carter Stanley joined the Blue Grass Boys as guitarist for a short time in 1951 during a period when the Stanley Brothers had temporarily disbanded. Marilyn Monroe Biography - Part 1 - Childhood, Norma Jeane Baker (1964 Movie)

1964 www.amazon.com Watch the full film: thefilmarchived.blogspot.com Marilyn Monroe (June 1, 1926 -- August 5, 1962), born Norma Jeane Mortenson, but baptized Norma Jeane Baker, was an American actress, singer and model. After spending much of her childhood in foster homes, Monroe began a career as a model, which led to a film contract in 1946. Her early film appearances were minor, but her performances in The Asphalt Jungle and All About Eve (both 1950) were critically acclaimed. In a few years, Monroe reached stardom and was cast as the leading lady in such films as Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, How to Marry a Millionaire, The Seven Year Itch, and Some Like It Hot. The typecasting of Monroe's "dumb blonde" persona limited her career prospects, so she broadened her range. She studied at the Actors Studio and formed Marilyn Monroe Productions. Her dramatic performance in Bus Stop was hailed by critics, and she won a Golden Globe Award for Some Like it Hot. The final years of Monroe's life were marked by illness, personal problems, and a reputation for being unreliable and difficult to work with. The circumstances of her death, from an overdose of barbiturates, have been the subject of conjecture. Though officially classified as a "probable suicide," the possibility of an accidental overdose, as well as the possibility of homicide, have not been ruled out. In 1999, Monroe was ranked as the sixth greatest female star of all time by the American Film Institute. In the years and ...
