Week two of Jamie's European motorcycle adventure would see him leave the MXGP in Spain via the magnificent Picos de Europa National Park, cruise through the gorgeous countryside of southern France and then ride onto Monaco to catch up with his friend and 5 times world champion, Max Biaggi. After sleeping on his buddies balcony for the night, Jamie took off at sunrise and rode more superb twisty mountain roads in gorgeous weather before arriving at Alpinestars in Asolo, Italy, where a friend from England, would join Jamie on the rest of his European trip and double the motorcycling fun. Victory Motorcycles recently introduced an expansion to its Cross Country lineup with the Cross Country Tour, otherwise known as the XCT. While there's a few other changes, the main upgrade is the replacement of the high styled forged highway bars (also called crash bars or engine protectors) with round tubular addition of lowers that allow the rider to control the airflow coming over the lower area of the motorcycle. Numerous owners of the original 2010 Cross Country reported some buffeting or dirty air issues while riding at highway speed. So the big question is do the new factory lowers decrease the buffeting issues? Here's a video with MJW930 an active Member of TheVOG.net who owns a 2010 Cross Country and who had just completed a test of the new Cross Country Tour with a first-had report.

The final leg of the European motorcycle adventure would see Jamie and his buddy Seth leave Austria via the Gerlos Alpine Road and ride passed Europe's highest waterfall, the 'Krimmi Waterfalls', as they rode East into Switzerland and towards the Swiss and Italian Alps. A campsite next to a lake would also double up as a meeting point for another one of Jamie's biking friends Alex to join the pair, soon the motorcycling trio were riding south and into brighter skies and as they rode towards the famous Stelvio Pass, the highest in the eastern Alps and voted 'Greatest driving road in the world' by Top Gear, and a truly magnificent motorcycling road. The Italian summit welcomed the three with mind-blowing views, a challenging 49 hairpin decent as well as tasty Italian foods and more biking roads from heaven as they headed towards Tuscany and the ultimate MotoGP of the year.
