I did not crash, but the bike was totaled. It literally jumped right in front of me (about 10 feet at most) and I had no time to react! While editing this vid, the deer was only on cam for 6 frames which is 6/30 or 1/5 of a sec! I think the momentum from accelerating out of the corner is what saved me, along with the fact that I hit it while it was still in mid-air. There were many factors that kept me on 2 wheels and I can't say whether I was lucky because I didn't die or unlucky it even happened. Not only did I not crash, but there was no car coming the other way to kill me when I crossed over. I rode it for another 45 mins until I had to shut it off to prevent engine damage because the radiator was busted. It was also amazing that none of the riders following closely behind me hit the unpredictable, spinning deer! There were 10 riders in front of me and about 10 behind. Speed was only a factor for who hit it, not whether or not it would have been hit. I survived with not a scratch. Both of these people I have met and talked to about this run. He was going 180 when he turned the wheel to line up the boat for the final sprint!!! An all night drive through a snow storm saw us pull into the proving grounds parking lot at the crack of dawn. It was cold and overcast but no sign of rain or snow. It looked like the weather would cooperate, the next hurdle was having MOPAR engineers check out the Cuda. The car passed with flying colors, testament to the sweat and dedication put in by everyone at Legendary over the last year. Then it was off to the black lake for some real world handling tests in preparation for the 4.75 mile oval and a crack a breaking the 200 mph mark. Both the Cuda and the Enzo look impressive on the track but once the sun began to come out late that morning the setting was perfect for our high speed run. I think we captured some spectacular footage of a once in a life time event. After a brief mishap, when the Cuda lost its windshield trim at 190 mph, Peter was ready to go. We could hear the Cuda coming long before we could see her, as the cars went by they sounded like jet fighters. Top speed 208 mph with still some leftwe did it!

Kankkunen was in irresistible form with his all-wheel drive, 6-litre, 12-cylinder Continental Supersports convertible which, in line with the Company's CO2 strategy, ran on biofuel. The world's fastest soft top enabled Juha to shatter his own 2007 world ice speed record of 199.83 mph (321.6 km/h) set in the Continental GT at the same location. With the help of his own experienced team and Bentley engineers, Kankkunen overcame the challenges of temperatures as low as minus 30 degrees, sudden snow blizzards and potentially dangerous crosswinds on the 16.5km track on a 70cm-thick layer of sea ice. The record attempt was driven on a 1000m long measured distance with the speed certified by officials from the Finland Traffic Police. On this episode of HOT ROD Unlimited, HOT ROD Editor In Chief David Freiburger drives the Lingenfelter Performance Engineering Camaro ZL1 to 202 mph, making it the first 2012 ZL1 to exceed 200 mph. This very same ZL1 in the exact same configuration (save for wheels and tires and the rollcage) was also the first to run 10s in the quarter mile. The ZL1 Camaros were first delivered to the public in early April, making 580 hp from their supercharged, 6.2L, LSA engines. Within days of delivery, Lingenfelter had its ZL1 making 720 hp at 6500 rpm and 650 lb-ft at 4650 rpm, both measured at the rear tires. The performance parts are all from Lingenfelter: CNC-ported cylinder heads, a GT9 camshaft, a ported supercharger cover, overdrive blower pulleys, a cold-air kit, 63-lb/hr fuel injectors, a voltage booster for the fuel pump, a 160-degree thermostat, and tuning. The entire package, installed, is $11495. Everything else on this manual-trans car is stock. The performance testing was done with 109-octane VP fuel and 15 psi boost. On April 18, 2012, the Lingenfelter ZL1 ran 10.79 at 134.36 mph at Muncie Dragway in Indiana. That was on drag wheels and tires. On April 30, 2012, the car was delivered to the Continental Tire Proving Grounds in Uvalde, Texas. We had a blast this weekend doing test runs with my friend's E-revo, we had some trouble in last weeks, and this last friday the Monster mamba max ESC we were using finaly let go, but it was a Version 2....!! We took our cameras with us and a new tune that we created just for the occasion. Thanks to a number of subscribers for the suggestion to remake this epic classical piece by Carl Orff! It was one of three possibilities we were considering when writing with the race track in mind. In the end it was no contest; especially when we read the English transition of the Latin lyrics in the piece -- which speak of fate like a "wheel" and a "driving force!" Our version of O Fortuna was so much fun to create that it was done in a matter of three days (we couldn't let ourselves do anything else until it was finished). It consists of 6 piano tracks, 43 acoustic cello tracks, 3 percussion tracks, and 48 vocal tracks. A special thanks to Orin Harker (He owns the white car) , along with his wife Val, who hosted us, gave us all the ride of our lives, and taught us about the coolness of Radical Racing!
