9th Performance - Vocal Point - "Every Little Step" By Bobby Brown - Sing Off - Series 3

Wow..i didn't think these guys had it in them to actually move like that and sing so well and actually it's one of my favourite performances by them that wasn't their usual schtik lol..and i think they actually stepped out of their comfort zone and did something original and i loved it a lot! A

performance vocal point every little step bobby brown mrduckbear 11

12th Performance - Pentatonix - "Dog Days Are Over" by Florence & The Machines - Sing Off - Series 3

Much better than their first performance of the night. this one actually showed a different side to them and it's good to see that the other guy more solos considering he's been on the background lately compared to the girl and obviously the main singer lol. A-

performance pentatonix dog days are over florence and the machines mrduckbear 11

1st Performance - Pentatonix - "ET" by Katy Perry Ft Kanye West - Sing Off - Series 3

I'm surprised the girl wasn't the main singer of the group given there's 4-1 in guy/girl ratio lol but the guy is actually a good singer..and this song actually worked very well. A guy singing a girl song doesn't turn out good in some talent shows but this one did but i wonder if the group will be hindered later on with such small numbers compared to groups that have a lot of back up and it showed in the middle...B

4th Performance - Pentatonix - "Video Killed The Radio Star" By The Buggles - Sing Off - Series 3

Definitely my favourite performance from them thus far! I think they really dug deep with being good performers mixed in with the excellent vocals and i do agree with other people, that guy doing those beats is the best in the competition..this could be the group to beat in the finals..A-

5th Performance - Committed - Usher Medley

I knew they were gonna do an usher song! The R&B sound is perfect for these guys and they did a great job with this song. Their vocals are much stronger than OTR but the entertainment value is less so but that's probably cause they aren't a dancing type group. A

performance committed usher medley mrduckbear 11

12th Performance - Dartmouth Aires - "Shout" by The Isley Brothers - Sing Off - Series 3

This is their usual type of performances which show off their "goofy" side and i think that's their signature schtik with theatrics mixed in which makes them the type of group they're representing for most college guy groups. If they had standout performances every week, like the queen song, they could be a serious contender but i'm not sure if they can win still after this week..considering the audience has already voted a winner after tonight. B

performance dartmouth aires shout isley brothers mrduckbear 11

6th Performance - Committed - "Let's Stay Together" - By Al Green

The judges really did pick a good song for these guys cause they really hit the notes perfectly on this one! The best guy group left imo and the more modern sound of singing compared to Jerry Lewis imo. A

performance committed let's stay together al green mrduckbear 11

5th Performance - Dartmouth Aires - "Club Can't Handle Me" By Flo Rida - Sing Off - Series 3

I give these guys props for rapping to a song like this rather than turning it into a ballad or just straight singing which most groups did this time with hip hop songs..but i'm not so sure the guy rapping was the right choice, maybe they picked him cause he's the best one they have that can actually rap lol but it sounded a little too soft imo. but taking risks can help you sometimes..B

performance dartmouth aires club cant handle me flo rida sing off mrduckbear 11

4th Performance - Vocal Point - "Footloose" By Kenny Loggins - Sing Off - Series 3

This is probably one of the top college groups who has the best chance of winning..they have the best vocals for sure and performance level is average but if any one of them is gonna win its probably gonna be them but i'm still guessing one of the other groups will take it. This song was made for them. B+

Final Farewell Montage - 6th Place Finisher - Delilah

Let's wish these acapella groups the best of luck in their careers in music! they sang "Grenade" by Bruno Mars, "Whataya Want From Me" by Adam Lambert, "(Love Is Like A) Heat Wave", "Flashdance...What a Feeling" by Irene Cara, "How To Love" by Lil Wayne, Alicia Keys Medly of Fallin, A Woman's Wroth and If i Aint Got You, "Dream On" By Aerosmith, "If i Die Young" by The Band Perry and "Survivor" by Destiny's Child

2nd Performance - Pentatonix - "Your Love Is My Drug" By Ke$ha - Sing Off - Series 3

I know this group is very good and very talented but i felt like this song wasn't their best...in fact it's about the same level as last week's though this one had more singers involved and i think that's what hurt it. The other guy's voice didn't seem to fit right with this song imo..B

9th Performance - Pentatonix - "OMG" By Usher - Sing Off - Series 3

I actually don't think his voice fit well with this song...normally his voice could do anything but some parts, especially the fast parts his voice just didn't sound the best but i mean it wasn't a bad performance, it was an okay performance just not one of their best vocally. B-

1st Performance - Committed (Alabama) - "This Love" - By Maroon 5

This group is like the younger version to Jerry Lawson's..and i have a feeling they'll be ahead of them to making it farther when all's said and done as i think these guys have more potential and obviously a judge favourite. B+

performance committed alabama this love maroon 5 mrduckbear 11

3rd Performance - On The Rocks - "Pour Some Sugar On Me" - By Def Leppard

Don't ask me why i don't have the second performance yet it's because i couldn't find it yet...i hope i can soon though :(. I think it's safe to say that this group will go all the way to the end despite the somewhat stumbling performance here..It looked good with the choreography but the vocals just weren't all there for this one. I don't think cheese worked well with this specific song..B-

Final Performance (2) - Dartmouth Aires & Ben Folds - "Not The Same" by Ben Folds - Sing Off - S3

I liked the way ben made the performance more entertaining by involving the audience but i can see why he was chosen to sing with the aires then since they are that group to get the crowd going too lol. He's actually a very good singer and it's a decent song...i'm guessing from his solo work? B+

final performance dartmouth aires ben folds not the same mrduckbear 11

1st Performance - Dartmouth Aires - "Higher Ground" by Stevie Wonder - Sing Off - Series 3

A good group of guys singing a song by stevie wonder. I thought they had a lot of good parts to it and the main singer is definitely the best to do this song...although sometimes i felt like something was too strained in this performance..something in the group chorus..B

Finale Night - Final Performance - Committed - "Hold My Hand" By Michael Jackson & Akon

This is the final performance for committed and although this performance doesn't matter in terms of votes anymore but it shows that if they are the winner of the competition that they have the vocal chops to have a good album on their hands..A-

1st Performance - Delilah - "Grenade" by Bruno Mars - Sing Off - Series 3

I'm glad that they were able to bring back former contestants on the show where most other talent shows don't allow second or third chances and it gives these great singers to form new groups and try again and this was the best out of the 4 acts in the first groups to perform! A

performance delilah grenade bruno mars mrduckbear 11

1st Performance - Afro-Blue - "Put Your Records On" By Corrine Bailey Rae - Sing Off - Series 3

This is afro blue's 1st performance with Put your Records On by Corinne Bailey Rae, and i feel like this groups r&b vibe is what will take them far in the competition as they definitely have the voice to really compete in that category! B+

performance afro blue put your records on corinne bailey rae mrduckbear 11

1st Performance - Vocal Point - "Jump Jive an' Wail" By Brian Setzer Orchestra - Sing Off - Series 3

Probably the most feel good up-beat group of the whole competition as these guys look to be singing more popular songs from back in the day..it's a good thing the public isn't voting then lol, but i think they can go pretty far as they have really good voices and i hope they sing more present songs too! B+

performance vocal point jumpin jive an wail brian setzer orchestra mrduckbear 11

7th Performance Together - Pentatonix - "Born To Be Wild" By Steppenwolf - Sing Off - Series 3

This group still continues to impress with the judges and fans..no doubt in my mind they will at least make the finals. As for the winners that's yet to be seen since the winning group doesn't always necessarily win lol but i guess it depends on who the judges pit them up against. But i still feel like the bass and beatboxing really pushes them to the top since the judges are big fans of that then the vocals which isn't bad but i think that's their rock tbh, so it was a good choice to have them in the group. A-

1st Performance - The YellowJackets - "Wavin Flag" By K'Naan - Sing Off - Series 3

This is the yellowjackets 1st performance on the 3rd series called Wavin Flag by K'Naan, and this seems like another great group who we should watch out for, though many male groups this year...i'm sure some will get cut a long the way since i sense a strong female contender group this year! B+

performance yellowjackets wavin flag k'naan mrduckbear 11

2nd Performance - Dartmouth Aires - "Animal" By Neon Trees - Sing Off - Series 3

I think the vocals really were exposed in this performance...they need a strong lead singer and i don't think he lives up to the other guy group leads we've seen so far and again, they are good performers and that's gonna be their strong point but the singing could be their achilles heel. B

sing off performance dartmouth aires animal neon trees mrduckbear 11

The Sing Off 3 - 5th Opening Performance - "This Is Halloween"/"Werewolves of London"/"Ghostbusters"

i actually like the halloween theme they had this year, much like the christmas ones they normally do..but of course halloween is usually about the scare and theatrix so i can see why they went with that route with 3 songs together. i like the theme but not so much the performance... they sang The Sing Off 3 - 5th Opening Performance - "This Is Halloween" By Danny Elfman & "Werewolves of London" by Warren Zevon and "Ghostbusters" By Ray Parker Jr

2nd Performance - Afro-Blue - "American Boy" By Estelle Feat Kanye West - Sing Off - Series 3

Hmm...i'm not a big fan of the lead vocal singer's voice in this song..it sounds too soft if that makes any sense. But they did do a good job with the song but i wish they had chosen another singer for it. B

5th Performance - Afro-Blue - "Killing Me Softly" By The Fugees - Sing Off - Series 3

I swear i heard some Boos in there..don't know why Definitely one of the best performances they have given so far..they took a song that's somewhat out of their comfort zone and really made it their own and though they didn't rap, it was one of the best renditions they've given on the show so far after their first song! A-

performance afro blue killing me softly fugees sing off mrduckbear 11

3rd Performance - Pentatonix - "Piece Of My Heart" By Janis Joplin - Sing Off - Series 3

A much better performance here than their last one. This one really brought the groove of this group back on track and i can see why they could be a major contender in the finals, especially with their beatboxer who is undoubtedly the best in the competition, though they should think about who sings what in their future songs so that the vocals aren't off-beat. B+

4th Performance - Afro-Blue - "I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves me)" By Whitney Houston - SO3

This group definitely has the best groove of all the groups..if you listen to them with an instrumental version it would sound great! and it was good to hear all of the girls sings this time so we get a taste of potential soloists, i think that was the only problem..too many singers with different sounds in a dance song. B

performance afro blue i wanna dance with somebody who loves me whitney houston sing off mrduckbear 11

9th Performance - Dartmouth Aires - "Ignition (Remix)" By R Kelly - Sing Off - Series 3

Actually i thought this group was more of a performing group as compared to being excellent singers lol, though they are good singers but probably not in the range of like "polished" singers as they say. This is more of the same of their usual fun performing numbers but i'm not so sure if they shown us anything as great as their queen performance and i don't think anything will top that..note the "think". B-

performance dartmouth aires ignition remix r kelly mrduckbear 11

3rd Performance - Vocal Point - "Way You Look Tonight" By Frank Sinatra - Sing Off - Series 3

Perhaps the strength of this group really are songs from the olden days lol...disappointing to hear that their friend isn't back yet to make up the 9 member group and we hope the best for him and his family after his father's passing. As for this performance, much stronger than their modern song imo but hopefully they can choose a better modern song in the future should they continue in the competition. B+

2nd Performance - Vocal Point - "Never Say Never" By Justin Bieber

Hmm..i'm not sure what to make of this. i'm not a fan of the song but i thought they sang it good..but then again, it wasn't as exciting as i thought it would be given that one of the guys used to be in his own boy band as a kid...i'm just mixed on this one. B

Finale Night - Final Performance - Street Corner Symphony - "Fix You" By Coldplay

This is the final performance for SCS and by the end of it, you would think after seeing this they would be the winners of the competition...it just looked like a winner's performance to me lol. They were the underdog in the beginning but they surprised me each week.A-

3rd Performance - Afro-Blue - "I Heard It Through The Grapevine" By Marvin Gaye - Sing Off - S3

They have been good consistently, not missing a note most of the time but sometimes the song they choose may not stand out to the audience and jazz is their forte for sure but they need to start picking up the pace in a fast paced song to show some range in their performances. B

performance afro blue marvin gaye sing off mrduckbear 11

3rd Performance - Dartmouth Aires - "Pinball Wizard" By The Who - Sing Off - Series 3

I enjoyed this performance more than their first one but only by a little, i felt that this group has the best energy in this bracket that's for sure but most big college groups generally are lol. But i'm pretty sure if they had to choose which college groups to go through and only 1 could go i think this gorup would not be chosen...that's just my opinion though. B

The Sing Off Opening Group Performance (E2) - "Use Somebody" - By Kings Of Leon

Finally i found it lol. I'm sure everyone knows the results already so seeing these won't be anything new but it's nice to watch it again. This was very good, better than last week but not as good as the recent one imo but they did make use of some good singing here.

3rd Performance - YellowJackets - "Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You" By Jersey Boys - Sing Off - S3

A much better performance here than their first song. I really think they need to choose the right singers for the right songs and i know they want to give everyone a chance to have a lead but if they do, they should pick the right singer for the right song. As for this one, their personal best imo! even if they kissed up to a judge in the end lol. and is it me or does the lead singer look like Spencer Pratt? B+

1st Performance - On The Rocks (Univ of Oregon) - "Bad Romance" - By Lady Gaga

You can just tell they're probably gonna be the next beezlebubs and it wouldn't surprise me if they went all the way to the finals because of the girl vote lol. But i have to admit, they actually did a good job i must admit. Although the choreography is a little cheezy but i think that's just their personality. A-

4th Performance - The YellowJackets - "Wannabe" By Spice Girls - Sing Off - Series 3

It looks like they're back to the being a good performing group as opposed to having power vocals...i would have to say it's about on par with their taio cruz one from last week. These guys can perform the hell out of anyone though lol..but i have a feeling they'll be "ontherocks'd"eliminated sometime...B-

2nd Performance - North Shore - "The Lazy Song" By Bruno Mars - Sing Off - Series 3

Although i agree, i liked the rendition of this song that they gave, but i feel like this group is relying a lot on safe songs that doesn't expose any of their weaknesses like maybe ones that involve screams or something complicated and that may be their downfall with their song choices..B+

sing off performance north shore lazy song bruno mars mrduckbear 11

The Sing Off Opening Group Performance (E4) - "With A Little Help From My Friends" - By Joe Cocker

You can tell that as each group is eliminated, the big group performances style changes because some groups have left and the melody of their sound is gone...i liked the chorus throughout the performance, but it wasn't my favourite so far.

Contemporary Dancers - Jill & Jacob Audition

I have a feeling these 2 will make it very far in the competition...their unique choreography and tricks mixed in will most likely get a lot of fans! especially after the story they gave lol

1st Performance - Kinfolk 9 - "Secrets" By One Republic - Sing Off - Series 3

A nice group of contestants, i think the lead singer of this song has a lot of soul to his voice like Ryan Tedder but when they sang the chorus it was really beautiful so i give them props on that. B+

1st Performance - Street Corner Symphony - "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" - By Tears For Fears

They do have a unique sound, none of the other groups put a southern sound to their acapella singing..but i'm still not sure if their sound works with lots of other songs they'll have to cover..the main guy has a good voice though and this performance was pretty decent. B+

performance street corner symphony tears for fears mrduckbear 11

5th Performance - Delilah - "How To Love" By Lil Wayne - Sing Off - Series 3

Finally...they give a performance that brings back the greatness they brought from the first performance. i've been waiting for them to show the judges and most importantly the voting audience why they're here..this song definitely shows off their strong points. everything was good from the singing to the melody and arrangement. If they ever get voted off, at least go out with a bang but hopefully not yet!. A-

Final Performance (2) - Pentatonix & Nick Lachey - "Give Me Just One Night (Una Noche) by 98 Degrees

At least they ended strong tonight even though Nick sang most of it lol..but it was a very nice performance with nick lachey on stage, obviously a song from his group, performing this song with the group heavily favoured to win...it wasn't a blow out finale night but maybe they're saving that for next week's christmas special? The Sing Off 3 - 2nd Opening Performance: "Somewhere Only We Know" By Keane (Group A)

I thought this was a good performance but something was off...they were such a great group last week but this week it seemed kind of garbled at times...but still, i feel this is the best group of singers.

2nd Performance - On The Rocks - "Live Your Life" - By TI and Rhianna

Like i've said before this group is very entertaining. In fact i think this group could actually sell alot of albums if they actually win. Most singers sell the most when they entertain the best and these guys do it best even if this performance was mediocre...I wasn't as impressed by it compared to last week's Lady Gaga. B-
