Week 25/6 Months Post Op & What I have LEARNED living with My Lapband
Start Weight: 244 Current Weight: 201 Goal: 145 20 Things that I have learned living with my lapband: 1. Most significant loss seems to happen whe: a) during preop diet b) 1st 2 weeks Post Op c) The 1st 1 to 3 weeks following a fill 2) Eating = Discomfort 3) You have to exercise to see consistent weight loss results 4) You have to work/plan/schedule taking vitamins and supplements 5) You have to make smart, healthy food choices 6) You can get full (not hungry or satisfied) with as little as 3 bites of food or 1.5 cups. 7) Loosing weight is not easy with the band. 8) Not to take your loved ones for granted. Spend quality time with them and make it count. For me that means do not watch youtube when you made a date with him to watch monday football. 9) Track Calories, Fat, Protein, Carbs all nutritional intake 10) The band will not make you happy. YOU have to make you happy. I work at this every day. 11) Try New Things, ie: thoughts, positive self talk, foods, exercise, friends, vitamins, supplements, drinks, etc. 12) You will and must break or change old habits 13) You need support/aftercare post op 14) Protein 1st 15) Gotta get your fiber = DAILY 16) FOLLOW THE RULES TO SUCCESS WITH THE LAPBAND 17) Get rid of the "fat clothes" and make room for new clothes that fit. 18) My boyfriend tells me that he likes to grab my hips and feel my bones! I have bones people!!! 19) This is a journey not a destination 20) Success = Part Lapband and Part ME (you)

Our Baby Can Read at 14 months
Jania Dae, our second child knows now how to read at the age of 14months. Brilliant baby! She has beaten the record of our first child who started reading at 22months. We are currently using a program which has developed their reading skills. Also, nothing beats patience, repetition and consistency. By the way, our eldest child (2y/o) - John William, can now read more than 100 words. Surprisingly, he can now read phrases. I'll post the video soon.
