Rep. Mulvaney on the President's Budget: These Are Not Credible Numbers

At today's House Budget Committee hearing on the President's 2012 Budget, Rep. Mick Mulvaney of South Carolina pressed White House budget director Jack Lew to justify the President's economic and interest-rate assumptions, which are completely out of sync with reality. Mulvaney demonstrated that much of the "savings" in the President's budget are a function of these rosy assumptions about the economy and interest rates. If GDP growth is lower than expected by one percentage point, and if borrowing rates are one percentage point higher, the President's deficits would increase by $1.7 trillion.

US Congressman Mick Mulvaney's Boss, on Supporting the Patriot Act!

His boss called me today explaining why Mick hates that we have rights and why he supported the Patriot Act's 4 year extension. Around September last year at the Cherokee county GOP meeting in front of around 100 people, I asked him, when he was running for congress, "If giving the chance to repeal the Patriot Act, would you?" His reply to me and the other 100 people was and I quote " Absolutely, Im not willing to give up my Liberty for safety!" That was THE perfect answer, that sure helped him get elected and I voted for him and helped get him elected too! Three central federal powers: the 'roving wiretap' powers which allows ongoing electronic surveillance of foreign suspects regardless of communication device or location; the 'library provisions' power which allow a very broad range of personal material to be investigated; and the 'lone wolf' provisions which give the government authority to investigate foreigners, even if they have no known affiliation with terrorist groups. The only requirement for these provisions is that an order from secret federal courts are required.

The hearing took place in room 2360 of the Rayburn House Office Building. The hearing focused on recent decisions and proposed rules by the National Labor Relations Board and the Department of Labor that some fear disadvantage small businesses in union organizing drives. The hearing also examined how these proposed rules and decisions add to the myriad of uncertainties facing small businesses as they struggle to survive and create jobs in today's economy.
Chase Bowes: "The Jimmy Mulvaney Cocaine Saga"

Pretty good yarn I wrote about a ballsy cokehead. Fun. I don't know anyone with the name 'Mulvaney'; he's completely made up. Personally, I think Old Crow Medicine Show should do it. I'd give it to them for nearly nothing. "THE JIMMY MULVANEY COCAINE SAGA" Jimmy Mulvaney has done it again, Stole all the dope out the coke dealer's den Broke in the house, dealer takin' a dump Picked up a half ounce, and out the window he jumped Flyin' down the road, stolen oldsmobile- Can't keep his eyes on the road or his hands on the wheel Drivin' with his knees, tryin' to take him a snort, He crashed into a cop car parked in front of the court Grabbed the coke, jumped out the driver's seat- With the cop in pursuit, he took off down the street Ducked into an alley toward the railroad track, That's when the dealer cut him off in a Cadillac Back to the wall, what a hell of a night- With the dealer to the left and the cop on his right Cop pulled his pistol and the dealer did, too Jimmy hit the floor and the next thing he knew Dealer and the cop shooting up the alley, Jimmy crawled up under that big black Caddy Jumped in the car through the passenger side, Then he shoved that mother down into overdrive Jimmy drove that Caddy down the railway drag, He fished the coke out of his pocket, stuck his nose in the bag- Took a huge whiff that scrambled his brain, That's when he saw that he was racing towards an oncoming train No time to think, he cut the wheel to the left The Caddy jumped the tracks ...

Rep. Mulvaney discusses the RSC's "Jobs Through Growth Act"

On Wednesday, November 2, the Republican Study Committee revealed the "Jobs Through Growth Act" which focuses on job creation through economic growth—not government growth.
