Visit global.mnet.com 진정한 대한 민국 음악의 황제 이승철이 돌아왔다. 데뷔 24년째인 그는 그간 음악 작업의 결정체라 할 수 있는 10집 앨범을 5월 6일 출시한다. 앨범을 발표하지 않아도 매주 공연을 통해 팬들과 호흡하고 있는 이승철은 전국 30개 도시의 투어 일정 속에서 앨범 작업을 병행해 왔으며 소중한 작품으로 1009년 5월 6일 팬들과 만난다. 10집 "Mutopia(뮤토피아)" 10집 앨범 타이틀 "Mutopia"는 이승철의 음악적 이상향을 뜻하는 것으로 Music 과 Utopia의 합성어로 본인이 고심 끝에 만들어 냈다. 자신의 지난 24년간의 음악과 인생 여정의 끝인 음악적 이상향을 찾던 삶에 대한 이야기와 그가 가진 음악적 이상향을 팬들에게 보여 주고 싶은 마음으로 앨범을 만들어 냈다고 했다. "Rock" "Band" "Bripop" 부활이라는 대한민국 음악계의 획을 그은 록밴드를 이끌었던 이승철. 그의 솔로 활동 이후 처음으로 록과 다시 만났다. 밴드 출신이면서 라이브 황제로서 공연장을 휘어잡는 그가 정작 발라드 곡들로 사랑을 받아왔다. 그러나 이번엔 진정한 록을 들려준다. 모든 앨범 작업을 이승철과 15년 이상을 음악적 파트너로 지내온 황제밴드와 모든 곡 작업을 함께 했다. 이로써 세션맨들과 작업한 것과는 확연히 다른 사운드와 음악적 탄탄함을 느낄 수 있다. 앨범의 프로듀서는 황제밴드의 마스터인 최원혁씨가 맡아서 했으며 앨범 전체적인 색깔은 브리티스 록에 기초한 팝음악으로 탄생했다. 타이틀 곡 "손톱이 빠져서" 이승철의 앨범은 언제나 신인 작곡가들의 작품으로 타이틀이 되어왔다. 그러나 이번엔 특별하게 "긴 하루"의 작곡가 전해성의 곡으로 타이틀을 정하게 되었다. 앨범 천제가 황제밴드의 곡들로 채워지던 중 녹음실 <b>...</b>
