
George Ismakov - composer, honored artist of Caucasus (Kavkaz - Russian Federation) George Ismakov is one of the representatives of Mountain of the Jewish people of Dagestan. He was born in the village of Aksay, Khasavyurt district. He received his musical education, then engaged in teaching activities. His first song, "Aksay Waltz" which was written in 1958 and gained rapid and widespread in Dagestan and beyond.
