This exhibition highlights the work of Kymia Nawabi, the season-two winner of Bravo's series Work of Art: The Next Great Artist, a recently concluded creative competition among contemporary artists from across the United States for a cash prize and an exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum. The judges for the Bravo show included series host China Chow; Bill Powers, a New York gallery owner and arts writer; and Jerry Saltz, art critic for New York magazine. Art auctioneer Simon de Pury served as a mentor to the contestants, and a new guest judge joined the panel each week. Here is a great song by Sitara Nawabi sang live at the Gul-e Surkh mela (concert) in Mazar-e Sharif. More singers like Aryana Sayeed and others took part in this concert with real energic growd. This is the first Pashto sang by Setara Nawabi. In this concert she sang one other Pashto song as well which can be also found in my account. About Sitara Nawabi: Sitara Nawabi is an Afghan-American pop singer-songwriter from San Francisco, California. She debuted in the music world on July 5th 2008 with her first single "Masti", and followed through with her second single "Disco Dewaneh", which was a cover rendition of the original song by Nazia Hassan, which was released in the early 1980's. Her musical background leads back to a very young age. At the age of 10 she discovered her love and passion and slowly grew with it as time progressed. Joining the musical choir and singing at every talent show in her school from grade 6 to graduation she realized that singing was and always had been an important part of her life. After graduation her family sought other opportunities other then music and decided to persuade a young Sitara Nawabi to possibly pursue dentistry another love she had besides music. After graduation she pursued her education and became a registered dental hygienist / registered dental hygienist in alternative practice. THE THREE STEP EASY BIRYANI. INGREDIENTS. A 1. Mutton (meat). 1kg. 2. Ginger paste. 1 tblsp. 3. Garlic Paste. 1 tblsp. 4. Yoghurt. 300-400gms 5. Fried onion 150-200gms 6. Melted Indian ghee 100- 150 gms 7. Black pepper corns. 5-6 8. Cloves 4-5 9. Cinnamon 2-3 sticks of 1 inch 10. Cardamom 5 pods 11 Shah jeera ( caraway seeds) 1 tsp 12 Zeera ( cumin seeds) 1/4 tsp. 13 Nutmeg powder 1/8 tsp.( pinch) 14 Mace powder 1/8 tsp. (pinch) 15. Turmeric powder. 1 tsp 16. Chilly powder. 1-2tsp 17. Salt to taste 18. Potatoes. 1/4 kg cut into big cubes 19. Juice of one small or half big lemon 20 Garam masala. 1 tsp. (receipe given separately ). 21. Dhania powder 1/2 tsp. INGREDIENTS. B 21. Basmati long grain rice. 500 - 700 gms.. 21. Bay leaves 2-3 22. Black peppercorn. 3-4 23. Cloves. 3-4 24. Cinnamon. 1 stick of 1 inch 25. Cardamom. 2 pods 26. Salt. As per taste OTHER INGREDIENTS 26. Wheat flour 1-2 cups 27. Water to knead the flour 28. Few strands of saffron.soaked in 2 tbls.warm Milk 29. Chopped coriander 3 tsp 30. Fresh mint leaves. 1 tsp. 31. Zeera. ( cumin seeds. ) 3/4 tsp 32. Chat masala. ( receipe given separately.) 3/4 tsp 33. Cut green chilly.( optional.) 1 tsp. PROCEDURE Step 1. Marinade Mix no. 1 to 21.mix well (except ghee).Massage all the ingredients with your hands for at least 5minutes. Do not mix the melted ghee.
