NDH Black Legion regiment 1944
Black Legion regiment after few months of fighting on the battlefield returned to Zagreb (Agram). Ante Pavelić saluting the regiment, handshaking with some of the soldiers and then military march was held afterward. The Crna Legija (Black Legion) was the name given to the 1st and 5th Ustaše Brigades during World War II. The units were named as such due to the fact that their uniforms were coloured black, unlike other Ustaše units. These units drew their recruits largely from survivors of chetnik massacres in Eastern Bosnia and represented the most elite units in the NDH army of the period.[1]. Black Legion: The Crna Legija unit commanders were Colonel Jure Francetić and Major Rafael Boban . While Boban remained in command of the unit to the very end of the war, Francetić was killed in action in 1942 and was succeeded by Colonel Ivo Stipković and then Major Franjo Sudar. With the loss of its commander, the Legion was broken up. The main body became the I Pokretni Ustaški sdrug (I Mobile Ustaša Brigade), while the Boban Battalion was used to form the cadre for the newly formed V Ustaša Brigade in Podravina. Former members of the Black Legion continued to wear the black uniform right up to the end of the war, probably as a sort of honorary mark of distinction. About a month before Germany capitulated 4th aniversary of Independent State of Croatia celebration is held on 10.04.1945. in Zagreb (Agram). New Croatian soldiers are taking an Oath and against all odds they are willing and ready to fight for their fatherland. After Germany capitulated and surrendered to British and American troops, Croatia was on it's own for one whole week against Soviets, Serbs, Partisans and British thus making Croatia last official Axis state with operational Army. End for Croatia came with tragedy of Bleiburg where Yugoslav Partisans and Serbs killed about 500.000 innocent Croatian civilians, surrendered soldiers of Croatia, Germany and Slovenia. NDH 10.travanj 1945
NDH je proglasio preko zagrebačkoga radija umirovljeni austro-ugarski pukovnik Slavko Kvaternik u ime Ante Pavelića, poglavnika ustaškoga pokreta 10. IV. 1941. poslijepodne, kratko vrijeme prije ulaska njemačke vojske u Zagreb. Hrvatski narod posvuda je isprva s oduševljenjem prihvatio samu obnovu hrvatske države i spontano sudjelovao u razoružanju vojske Kraljevine Jugoslavije i uspostavi nove hrvatske vlasti[nedostaje izvor]. Najvažniju ulogu odigrale su građanska i seljačka zaštita te predstavnici HSS-a, pored povjerenika Ustaškog pokreta i organiziranih ustaša. U jutarnjim satima 15. travnja 1941. stigao je u Zagreb Ante Pavelić s oko 200 ustaša povratnika. Navečer 16. travnja 1941. imenovao je prvu hrvatsku vladu u kojoj je bio i ministar predsjednik (premijer) i ministar vanjskih poslova. Vlada bijaše glavnom ustanovom izvršne vlasti, iako su sve bitne odluke u unutarnjoj i vanjskoj politici bile u rukama poglavnika Ante Pavelića. Ubrzo nakon uspostavljanja vlasti dolazi i do prvih razočaranja[nedostaje izvor]. Prva je zadaća vlade bila uspostava državnih ustanova i označavanje hrvatskih granica. Prvi ugovor o granici bio je potpisan s Njemačkom početkom svibnja 1941. i označio je hrvatsko-štajersku granicu kao granicu hrvatske države. Sudbonosni su bili hrvatsko-talijanski granični pregovori, koje je s hrvatske strane, kao jedini pregovarač, vodio Ante Pavelić. Potpisom Rimskog ugovora 18. svibnja 1941. uspostavljena je hrvatsko-talijanska granica, tako da je uz <b>...</b>
