Ride up Keelung Road in Taipei from Muzha, across to Minchuan and into Neihu at rush hour. Try to spot the scooter with 4 people, the rider with the cigarette and the near accident due to a rider blowing a red light. This is my final installment of Taipei scooter riding. Hope you enjoy.

Wenshan-Neihu Line Taipei city 1:00pm Sunday March 21st 2010 A dust storm from China arrived in Taipei city. Taiwan air-quality is affected by a sandstorm hitting the island. The Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) advised the public to take precautions. The dust storm has been looming over China for the past week and slowly moved towards Taiwan. The video was shot during my commute back home on the newly launched but troubled MRT Neihu Line from Songshan Airport Station to Zhongshan Junior High School Station. The train emerged from underground into the open air. A sharp turn in between slowed down the train and made ample time for the passengers to see the airplanes and helicopters parked at the Taipei Songshan Airport. It's one of my favorite views.

Shot from the 9th floor at work using a tripod balanced out on the window ledge. Camera is a second hand Canon SD450 bought off tw.bid.yahoo.com.tw. The add-on CHDK firmware allows for time-lapse photography and exposure bracketing at +/- 2 1/3 EV and many other features. chdk.wikia.com In total over 1000 images taken aa 30-second interval over about 2.5 hours in the afternoon. Batch HDR processing done with Photomatix Pro and the image sequence was stitched together in iMovie HD. After a few different attempts this one turned out okay but hope to do better ones in the future.
