As a world-renowned soul singer who Smokey Robinson calls "Aretha Joplin," Joss has sold over 11 million records globally. In part 1 Common talks to Nick Huff Barili about his new album "The Dreamer, The Believer" which he says is produced by No ID, who handled the production of Common's early albums. Common states that although the new album is not coming out through Kanye's Good Music label, he still considers himself part of Good Music because he and Kanye are like brothers. Common address the rumors that him and Nas are working on an album, stating that they were originally going to put out a mixtape together called Nas (dot) Com but that they are now going to make an album together after both of them put our there solo albums. In his book "One Day It Will All Make Sense" Common mentions that early in his acting career he had a hard time getting non-stereotypical roles. In this interview with Hard Knock TV he mentions that his ideal role would be to play a character like James Bond. Common goes on to explain how acting has helped his music. ‪www.hardknock.tv Exclusive in-depth interview with all four members of Slaughterhouse (‬Crooked I, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz and Royce da 5'9")‪. In part 1 of this interview Nick Huff Barili asks ‬Slaughterhouse about the new album and if they are looking to make it more introspective than their previous group album, which was extremely lyrical but lacked some of the more personal insight that made them stand out as solo artists. All four members said that you can expect a lot more personal material in the album and that you have to keep in mind that their previous album had to be done in 6 days with a stripped down budget. Slaughterhouse explain how the Shady deal is different than their previous label deals and elaborate on how they see Eminem's Role in the project. While the group says that there aren't full tracks done yet for the album, some skeletals have been built and they have had Jam session with Em. While they haven't had a chance to work with Yelawolf creatively too much they have got a chance to rock a couple shows together which has helped them build a camaraderie as Shady label mates. Nick brought up Joe Buddens' twitter post about Frank Ocean's Novacane song and immediately the group started laughing. Royce says he liked the song too but didn't want to hear it 80 times in a row (Royce and Joe were roommates for the tour). Pharrell says that he is most proud of the fact that Neil Young, Quentin Tarantino and RZA would all appreciate this album. HardKnock.TV takes you Behind the Scenes into the Beat Junkies studio while Rhettmatic and Buff1 work on their new collaborative album; self titled "Crown Royale". Buff and Rhett start off by explaining how House Shoes, Jackson Perry and Haircut (Aka Mayer Hawthorne) played an integral role in the creation of Crown Royale the group. As the interview continues Buff says that growing up in Ann Arbor, Michigan is very different than growing up in Detroit and gives him and Athletic Mic League (his original group) the freedom to craft their music and lyrics without feeling the need to talk about gunplay, what is going on in the streets, etc. Buff continues by saying that Detroit music is a huge influence on what he does and that he learned from Dilla, Slum Village, Proof, D12 and Eminem. Buff concludes the interview by breaking down the meaning behind his classic track "Beat the Speakers up". Buff speaks about how radio programming is brain washing us and how when one hears a song six to seven times a day you can't help but start to know the lyrics. Havoc says that the day Prodigy got out of jail they started working on the new Mobb Deep album.
