In my recent hunts for new UFO footage, I've come across enough footage out of New York to warrant a compilation video :) December 2011. It seems the two events on December 26 correlate with one another. You can't see them in Loweman08's video, but he states there are approx. 15 -red- lights in the sky "going crazy". We're able to make out at least two of those lights. Then over on 1coerudelemiere's NYC Webcam captures from the same night, we see SEVERAL spheres of light in the sky, some obviously red. I wonder if they were the same objects in both cases...(but i really wish more people were Awake to see this...) Various youtube sources, listed on screen... check them out. Meow! I dunno why, but my favorite one is the shortest one, and it was only 240p resolution, lol xD the black dot hovering over the person driving. just odd.

Eris also seems to be extremely reflective, probably because it is covered in a thin layer of frozen atmosphere. Occultations are rather like eclipses —the background star disappears behind the object and reappears on its other side. As viewed from Earth, the brightness of the background star suddenly drops and then returns equally suddenly to its previous level. By looking at these two events, astronomers can measure the size and shape of the occulting foreground object. If they also know the mass of this object they can then determine its density. The occultation technique has now enabled astronomers to learn a lot more about the dwarf planet Eris. Eris was identified as a large object in the outer Solar System in 2005. Its discovery was one of the factors that led to the creation of a new class of objects called dwarf planets and the reclassification of Pluto from planet to dwarf planet in 2006. Eris is three times farther from the Sun than Pluto at the moment, and until now was believed to be about 25% bigger. But the new observations show that Eris is in fact almost exactly the same size as Pluto, with a diameter of around 2330 kilometres. The system continually tracks the 6DOF pose of the camera and rapidly builds a volumetric representation of arbitrary scenes. Our technique for tracking is directly suited to the point-based depth data of Kinect, and requires no feature extraction or feature tracking. Once the 3D pose of the camera is known, each depth measurement from the sensor can be integrated into a volumetric representation. We describe the benefits of this representation over mesh-based approaches. In particular, the representation implicitly encodes predictions of the geometry of surfaces within a scene, which can be extracted readily from the volume. As the camera moves through the scene, new depth data can be added or removed from this volumetric representation, continually refining the 3D model acquired. We describe novel GPU-based implementations for both camera tracking and surface reconstruction. These take two well-understood methods from the computer vision and graphics literature as a starting point, defining new instantiations designed specifically for parallelizable GPGPU hardware. In early 2009, a team of astronauts visited Hubble to repair the wear and tear of twenty years of operating in a hostile environment — and to install two new instruments, the Cosmic Origins Spectrograph, and Wide Field Camera 3 — better known as WFC3. Hubble has become famous for its striking visible-light pictures of huge clouds of interstellar dust and gas. But sometimes scientists want to know what's happening behind, or inside, the cloud of dust. Making infrared observations pulls away the veil and reveals the hidden stars. Until now, infrared imaging was challenging with Hubble. The Near Infrared Camera and Multi-object Spectrometer, or NICMOS, did allow astronomers to study objects in infrared light in ways not possible from the ground, but it forced them to make a difficult choice. Because its images were small — only about 65 000 pixels in total, similar to a mobile phone screen — NICMOS could produce the sharpest images only if it concentrated on a very narrow field of view. Taking in a wider view came at the cost of losing much of the detail. These improvements mean Hubble is now far better at observing large areas of sky as well as very faint and very distant objects. The mystery object was discovered on January 6, 2010, by the Lincoln Near-Earth Asteroid Research (LINEAR) sky survey. This is the new iLimb Pulse prosthetic hand. I've been using it for about four months. You can tell the hand to switch to up to four out of eight available grip modes or grip patterns with an included software. The software connects to the hand via bluetooth. I use a co-contraction for changing from the default grip mode to wrist rotation. That means that I send a simultaneous muscle signal to both electrodes. That is very useful for a lot of things, for example pouring drinks. I activate my second grip mode by sendeing two quick impulses to the opening electrode. My second grip mode is called precision pinch. It moves the Index finger in opposition to the thumb. It is very useful for picking up small objects. My next grip mode is called index point.
