The NitroPlanes' Dynam Spitfire proved troublesome for me!

I usually can fly anything, but this Dynam Spitfire has me perplexed. Reducing throws as far as possible, balancing it perfectly, and being delicate on the controls was futile! The slightest "up elevator" causes an immediate tip stall! The plane flies "Pitchy" with the nose weight in or not! I would have trouble recommending this plane, until I hear from Nitroplanes www.jdoqocy.com . for other information. The cost is $129 Almost RTF: Ready to Fly right out of the box (Everything included and 90% assembled) However, using the supplied glue will take a couple days due to drying time. NitroPlanes Fun Fly 2010. Speed, Excitement, Crashes and fun.

*Read this please. I apologize for messing up all the names in the first version. This shorter and slightly different version is of NitroPlanes' first fun fly. Full of excitement, including a fantastic combat crash, wing folding in flight, battery ejection, and inverted landing. And that was just me! Haha. All of Nitroplanes' proceeds (over $1000) went to the St. Judes Hospital. The folks at NitroPlanes should be commended for doing a charity event like this. They also brought in real pizzas, drinks, and gave away hundreds of dollars worth of prizes and over $1750 in cash to boot. It was hot but very fun. Thanks also to the Corona RC club for hosting this event and for their hospitality too. It was very much fun for those that attended, including my friends, family and subscribers. I was humbled by their welcome. Thank you so very much for watching and I hope you enjoy this show. I put the battery forward and added 1 oz extra nose weight to keep it from trying to snap roll when I pulled lots of up elevator. 1 blade propeller. Will it work on Nitroplanes Hawk 3D?

*Caution* My Hawk can easily fly around with only 1/4 throttle, even in the 25 mph gusting winds, with instant acceleration, less battery usage, and longer flight times, but I am not encouraging any of you to try this unless you are really sure of what your doing. The carbon rod is threaded into the prop hub and glued. To me or someone with experience, this is no more dangerous than my helicopters, rotory lawnmower, or Viet Nam! I have been intrigued by single bladed props since Frank Johnson introduced them to me back in the early '70s. Where are you Frank? So when Jeff broke his Hawk prop, I gave him my spare and decided to attempt the 1 blade experiment for my own Nitroplanes Hawk 3D. Again, I used a carbon fibre rod threaded into a hole I drilled in the hub, plus the Zap Ca. The carbon prop hub and rod become one after this attachment and are stronger that the original blade, weighing the same. So just for fun and another science experience, I am glad I did this and hope you enjoyed it too. Thanks for watching and subscribing. NitroPlanes ProJet F4 Phantom Assembly, Flight, Pros and Cons.

**Please read! RF4B Phantom electronics was what I did in the Marine Corps aviation field. So when Nitroplanes introduced the F4, I had to have it. Warning! This is not for inexperienced modelers, as it requires extensive building knowledge. There was not much for instructions and a lot of figuring out was required, as you will see. Pros: The plane is well made and absolutely beautiful to look at. I used the best Fans Nitroplanes had and also put in, along with 80 amp motor controls, a 10 amp BEC. This setup allows for a flights at over 100 MPH speed. It is absolutely the best sounding electric ducted fan Jet I have ever flown. Extremely fast and exhilarating to fly. It tracks well with good aileron control. I love it. Cons: The servos I used were adequate for all controls except the elevator. The plane weighs approximately 7 lbs and at 100+MPH, the control rods flex towards level flight and the servos cannot push hard enough. There are 2 servos to run the elevator, however they are not linked, so if one fails, you will roll. I will change that to a single 15 size servo and connect the linkages for my next video. The only way I could figure out the radio location, etc was to look at the picture on the Nitroplanes Website. More detailed instructions with actual pictures would be wonderful. At this point, I think I am going to change the location of the batteries for the next flight also. For more information see the links below and thanks for watching. Dave Herbert AMA <b>...</b>

NitroPlanes' BIG Air Field T-28 Trojan w Electric Retracts & HD onboard Camera

*Please Read*.. I need an INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH plane to fly in the wind and cold here in the Midwest. Jeff has had the smaller PZ T-28 for several years now and flies it all the time. He and I also have the tiny Parkzone Micro T-28's, (which fly the best of all those micros to me.) So when Nitroplanes introduced it's big T-28 with Electric Retracts, I decided to pop for one. Here are a few assembly pictures and flights with an HD Flip Camera on board. My only beef about this plane, is the fact that some items are not as strong as they look. The Rudder hinge broke off instantly from that "not so bad" landing. It was an easy fix, as I just simply added hinges. Be that as it may, the plane flies very well and I am satisfied greatly. Thanks kindly for all your support. I would appreciate if you would please take a moment rate the video, subscribe to be notified when I produce another RC Television show, and if you know of others that would like to see this video, please pass it on. NitroPlanes Meteor 125 MPH jet with flight success tips.

If you buy this Dynam Meteor Jet from Nitroplanes, you better watch this video first. Many years of experience tells me that this plane needs more quality control and better gluing processes at the factory. Make sure to check every single thing that could fail in flight. If you do exactly what I did to fix the unglued stuff and balance this jet like I did, you will have success for hundreds of dollars less. An experienced modeler would not ever worry about this kind of stuff and would simply fix it as he went, just like I did. We are used to that. But for a Novice, it is advisable to have your hobby shop or someone with experience check out your plane before you fly it. No need to risk a mishap, you know. That said, with the balance fixed and more elevator control, this jet becomes a very sweet flying plane with no bad tendencies at all. I enjoy flying it. What I don't enjoy is figuring out stuff that I shouldnt have to. When Carl Goldberg or Joe Bridi said to "do it this way", we did and it would always work. I hate the guessing games these days to make things fly. So I hope this takes some guessing out of the equation for you. Happy flying and thanks so kindly for watching, subscribing, and watching my other videos. Got some helicopter stuff coming, so stay tuned. NitroPlanes Concept X jet. Maiden flights and tips.

Nitroplanes has just introduced a "mild powered" Electric Ducted Fan Jet that is fun to fly. Not crazy about the battery connectors that it came with and the CG has to be just right, but it flies very nicely. Tony at NitroPlanes replaced the motor with a larger one, which really makes this plane scream, but for first time jet fliers with airplane experience, you will find this fun to fly. With a better beefed up nose gear, and about a 1/8 inch up elevator at neutral, this plane flies nicely and looks great in the air. It almost reminds me of a BD-5. Wingspan: 29.4 inches Length: 37 inches Weight: 20.5 ounces 64 mm ducted fan brushless outrunner 4 channel, 6 servos, and 1 brushless ESC. Real F-4 Phantoms vs NitroPlanes ProJet R/C Phantom. See both Fly!

***PLEASE READ*** Many of you wanted to see my Phantom Fly again so I hope you enjoy this comparison video for fun and a bit of aviation history gone by. I can tell you that I have put way more hours and time in this model than any other model I have ever had in 50 years. I also know plenty about Phantom jets, having spent 30 years in the Marine Corps Aviation field working on the RF4-B Photo recon birds when they were first introduced and worked on them till they were phased out. I actually flew in them and know all the quirks. And note this....not many air shows with old planes feature Phantoms because they also need special equipment to fly since they don't even self start! So right out of my Natops flight manual, I present these facts and suggest that if you get the NitroPlanes ProJet F4, you incorporate some or all of the following options that are standard equipment on the real plane, and with good reason. It's because the Projet flies just like a real phantom, and could use some of the real Phantom's equipment as McDonnell Douglas designed it. "What do they know?" LOL. First of all, since they are very heavy and McDonnell Douglas incorporate a flying elevator in the real one. It scoops some of the turbine thrust to help at low speeds and can make a high Alpha approach easier. It's kinda like thrust vectoring. Second. It has Flaps and (Slats) on front of wing that increases airfoil even more than just rear flaps. Third It has BLC (Boundary Layer Control). That means <b>...</b>

NitroPlanes Concept X Motor Mod and flight. Fast!

When Nitroplanes introduced a "mild powered" Electric Ducted Fan Jet that is fun to fly, many of you saw my review on it. Well Tony at NitroPlanes replaced the motor with a larger one, which really makes this plane scream, so having a couple of extra ducted fan motors from my F-4, I decided to try it too. It is the most powerful fan Nitroplanes has. They are the (KV-3575). I also am using a 4 cell, 14. 8 Lipo rated at 2200 mAh. This jet makes a good one to try this on, because it is made out of EPP foam which is quite strong. The hardest part is not flying out of sight right away, as this baby cooks. The Concept X flies fine as stock for a beginner jet driver, but for those who like a little (lot) extra, just put one of these alloy fans in and have a ball. The added weight also makes if fly very nicely. For more information check out Nitroplanes website below and see Tony's review also. Thanks for watching. This " LAND SHARK " is also a Nitroplanes FLYING SHARK!

The shape of the Shark allows it to swim very fast and stable underwater. So how about Flying Sharks? NitroPlanes has received a new model line from Dynam Models. They are higher quality than some of the past models. When I saw this Flying Shark, I knew I had to have one. Here I give it a good test and you can see how it flies. For me, I find the least throw on the control setups are best. T his is not really a beginners plane to learn on without an instructor. I personally find it very pleasing to fly and it has no bad characteristics. NitroPlanes.com is having a Black Friday sale coming up. I heard many items may be cheaper on their website during that sale. Here is their site link. www.jdoqocy.com The Shark adopts EPS/EPO foam materials that has exceptional flexibility. It can fly at high speeds and maintains good stability. It is able to do barrel rolls and upside-down flights smoothly. NitroPlanes PT-19 with ASP .61 4 Stroke Engine tips and maiden flight.

I 've been wanting to get back into Nitro airplanes and helis since moving back here to the Midwest since they can handle the winds much better than the foamies. That's mainly due to the weight and power. Folks ask me for beginner planes. Well beginner or not, this NitroPlanes CMP PT 19 coupled with the ASP 4 stroke Glow engine is a fabulous combination. The video says it all and would be a good trainer for RC, just like it was for my dad who was an instructor on the PT-19 when in the Army Airforce. He passed last November and this plane was purchased in his honor. On another note, I ordered this PT-19 and engine from NitroPlanes over a month ago. I also ordered another one with retracts that I intended to make electric from AK hobbies. AK is located here in Iowa, and when I emailed them for a stock check, they said they had 16 of them. I ordered and paid for one and expected it within a couple of days since they are local. I am still waiting for over a month now!! On the other hand, NitroPlanes had me one in 6 days, a record for sure, since they are out of stock a lot. So my "tip of the hat" is to Nitroplanes and thanks for the service. RCU Review: Exceed-RC/NitroPlanes F-4E Phantom EDF Jet

www.nitroplanes.com One of my earliest aviation memories is of four F-4 Phantoms thundering down the runway taking off in formation. Not only did the ground shake but the air seemed to shake as well as the four blue and gold jets took to the sky. That was the annual 4th of July air show at the Willow Grove Naval Air Station outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I guess I'm showing my age because the Blue Angels flew the F-4 from 1969 until the end of the 1974 season when they transitioned to the A-4 Skyhawk. Designed for the Navy as a super sonic fighter the Phantom was the only airframe ever to be used by both the US Navy Blue Angels and the US Air Force Thunder Birds flight demonstration squadrons. The Exceed-RC Phantom is available in several color schemes from Nitroplanes.com so when I was given the choice of which one I wanted for this review it only took a second to make up my mind when I found out the Phantom was available in the Blue Angels colors. The Blue Angels were commissioned at the end of World War II by Admiral Chester Nimitz. In addition to my boyhood connection with the Blue Angels, flight testing on the model will take place just a few miles from NAS Jacksonville Florida. NAS Jacksonville was the original home base of the Blue Angels, and the location of their first public air show performance. An electric ducted fan model has been high on my wish list for a while so lets get started and see how the Exceed-RC Phantom goes together and more importantly <b>...</b>

RCRedBaron's First Nitro Plane! That was Fun Flying!

Anybody Recognize the Make of this plane? Where I might get more info on it? UPDATE: Finally found this plane in a magazine. It's a Hobby-Lobby TeleMaster! An older version. I picked this plane up from a field buddy, put a brand new SuperTigre 45 motor on it, Held my breath and took off! I havent flown nitro planes in 20 years, and even then, I didnt really fly them that much. I was quite nervous!!! But after 10 minutes of flying, I'm lucky I still have nerves to be shot. Thanks for watching, and please, if anyone knows what plane this is, or where I can get info on it, I would appreciate it. Thanks! NitroPlanes' Dynam Spitfire Revisited.. Try try again!

The NitroPlanes' Dynam Spitfire proved troublesome for me in my last video with 2 crashes! Here are the mods I had to make and the results of my efforts, as I don't give up easily. The Vertical tail was too small, the nose is too short, the landing gear is too far back, and the bottom of the wing is "dirty". Balancing this plane is essential. I usually can fly anything, but this Dynam Spitfire has me perplexed. Reducing throws as far as possible, trying to balance it, and being delicate on the controls was futile in my first video. The slightest up elevator causes an immediate tip stall and the plane flies really "Pitchy" with the extra nose weight in or not. The motor is stout and the plane is beautiful. Here is the price and availability link www.jdoqocy.com for other information. I have not heard from Nitroplanes since I made the last video, so did all these mods and replaced the speed controller on my own. The cost if the Dynam Spitfire is $129 Almost RTF: Ready to Fly right out of the box (Everything included and 90% assembled) However, using the supplied glue will take a couple days due to drying time. NitroPlanes 3D Hawk. An "In-Flight" product review, see for yourself!

*Please Read* When Jeff said mentioned he would like to try the 3D Hawk from NitroPlanes, I went ahead and ordered 2, not knowing what I was even buying. Mine's together now and Jeff is almost done with his. Make sure to watch the planned upcoming "COMBAT" video since it is made from that "bendable" EPP foam, and should last quite a while. The Hawk comes with everything you need for about $69 except the TX and RX. 3 fast 5G servos, 10 A ESC/BEC combo, 600mAh LiPo, hardware, both tapes, decals, Prop, Prop-saver, and a C-20 2050 KV brushless motor. This is quite a value pack! Well, after that first flight, I felt good, cause I sure had trouble with "High Alpha" landings with my F4, so this was really pleasing to fly, albeit a bit windy, definitely "Landable". I cannot wait to fly it in the gym with no wind, so stay tuned for some upcoming videos on that too. If your a beginner, a bit of experienced help may be necessary from someone, because the 6 pictures in the "Instruction manual" are not really very clear. I guess the Chinese figure we Americans should be smart enough by now to be able to figure this all out with no problem. Were not as old as them, and we are still learning, but I figured it out, so it couldn't be that hard. LOL. An example: After assembling mine I wanted to know about CG location. The picture in the "manual" said make sure CG is as in Pic 11, but Pic 11 doesn't show the CG. So I put my battery as far forward using Velcro. It is always better to fly <b>...</b>

T-28 Flying only! NitroPlanes "AirField" Trojan w Electric Retracts.

*Please Read*.. A Beautiful Airplane and 12 servos too! See my previous video from a couple of days ago to see the insides, build with an on board Camera and maiden flight. Today, I will let Jeff fly it, plus the sun is shining. Still windy tho! Jeff has had the Medium size PZ T-28 for several years now and flies it all the time. He and I also have the tiny PZ Micro T-28's, so I know he was anxious to take the sticks of my new one since it is so big compared to the others. I think it is great that Nitroplanes introduced this big T-28 with Electric Retracts. It is so pretty in the air and flies big with momentum to handle our winds. Thanks kindly for all your support. I would appreciate if you would please take a moment rate the video, subscribe to be notified when I produce another RC Television show, and if you know of others that would like to see this video, please pass it on. Nitroplanes Air Combat Round 1, Guanli F4-U Corsair and Japanese Zero.

You asked for it. NitroPlanes' GuanLi F4-U Corsair and Japanese Zero battle it out in this Dog--Fight. These planes were two of the most famous airplanes in WWII. The Corsair was an amazing fighter and the Zero was very maneuverable. Here we battle it out. I ejected a battery hatch on my F4-U and Jeff lost a wheel on landing with his Zero. I am very impressed with the flight characteristics and power of this plane, fast or slow. This was a lot of fun. Do I recommend these planes? Absolutely! You can't go wrong, for only $99. See this Nitroplanes link for today's price and availability. www.jdoqocy.com Specifications: Wingspan: 870mm (34.5") · Length: 750mm (29.53") · Flying Weight: 400g (14.11 oz) · Drive System: 2410 Brushless Motor 1200KV· Speed Controller:20A Brushless Electronic speed controller · Servo: 3x10g · Battery: 11.1V 1000mah 15C LiPo Battery· Control system: 4 CH Multifunctional Radio Transmitter and Micro Receiver · Radio Control Range: 1000 feet (300m) Thanks for watching. Nitroplanes New Dynam 1200mm Spitfire, very dissapointed.

A request for my subscribers and watchers, Please do not leave slander or try to trash nitroplanes. I have contacted them, and they just want to see the unboxing video here to see the very poor model I recieved. Lets give them a chance to make this right. Your opinions are MORE than welcome but cursing nitroplanes the company will get your comments band. Video from the drop off to the opening and inspection. I have never recieved such poor quality from any distributor, I know that nitroplanes did not paint the plane or assemble the parts, however they do state in their warrenty that they inspect all merch, I find this a little unnerving. This plane just looks abused. Crushed areaes on the top aft surface of the wing. Wing tips are dented in (not bad so no biggie) But the iceing on the cake paint bubbles covering the entire fuse that are ready to fall off, paint bubbles on the wings, yes both. I WILL DEFINITLY UPDATE ASAP

NitroPlanes MQ-9 Reaper UAV Drone with BIGGER MOTOR and other mods, part III.

By request for more, I present this relaxing flight of my Reaper (AM) Q-9 from NitroPlanes. I also dedicate this to my friend Jeff, who's dog, Winston died unexpectedly yesterday at age of 7!. (Winston51249) I am so sorry Jeff and Mary. I'm just "Crazy" about this "King of the Road" Drone! In this video I take advantage of the upgrades I have decided to implement. If your going to built this plane, make sure to make my Steering/Rudder "servo saver" and put in some motor "Right motor Thrust". The MQ-9 is (at this moment) is the most advanced of the USA;s UAV's (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles). This R/C Model MQ-9 also flies very sweet and is very smooth. It has lots of lift and can glide a long time with the flaps down. It is a fun airplane and really draws the spectators. As I said before, I think this is going to be a real winner for NitroPlanes, as it is a good camera platform plane for taking pictures of cities, towns, farms, crops, or you name it! *Please note. Suggesting to me that I need to make a rotating turret, FPV, etc, is fine, but I have my reasons (explained in the video) of why I like it fine just as it is. I say "KISS it!" (See video for explanation) Here are some specs: Wing Span: 2500 mm.. (Approx 8 feet) Weight: 2500g-2700 g Length: 1080 mm (Approx 3 feet, 4 inches) Wing Area: 325.dm (squared) Wing Loading: 76-83g/dm (squared) Airfoil: Eppler 374 Modified 6 Channel Radio with 4 mini servos and 2 standard servos required.
