The Horde began on the peaceful planet of Draenor when the Shaman Ner'zhul was contacted by what he thought was a peaceful spirit. This "spirit" went by the name Kil'jaeden. Kil'jaeden told him lies about the power of warlock magics and convinced him to abandon shamanism. Word quickly spread about this new form of magic Ner'zhul could wield and others soon followed in his footsteps and also became warlocks. Ner'zhul began to form all the tribes into one single tribe known as the Horde. The Horde then began to wage war against the peaceful and elusive Draenei while under the guidance of Kil'jaeden. Ner'zhul, disgusted at what was happening to his people and he turned his back on the archdemon. But it was far to late to reverse the damage he had done and his apprentice, Gul'dan, eagerly filled in the place that his mentor had left behind. Gul'dan soon realized that when it came to public relations, he was useless. To make up for this, Gul'dan chose a puppet to run the Horde. Someone who was well respected but easily manipulatable. This man was Blackhand, chieftain of the Blackrock tribe. Gul'dan manipulated the orcs to make Blackhand their warchief. The Horde quickly destroyed the Draenei and were left on Draenor with nothing to wage war on. The tribes began to fight amongst themselves and Gul'dan thought all his work would be put to waste and the Horde would be destroyed. This was until he was contacted by Medivh.

The Elemental Lords How's it goin' This is Pride from Original Media For Gamers at OMFG.fm and this is Lore for Noobs : The Elemental Lords. Waaaaaaay back in the day long LONG before the War of the Ancients there was an entirely different war being waged that made THAT war seem like 2 emo kids fighting over the last goddamn fall out boy CD at hot topic. This war was waged between the Old Gods and the Titans. The Old Gods enlisted their luitenents, Therazane the Stonemother, Neptulon the Tidehunter, Al'Akir the Windlord, and Ragnaros the Firelord to lead their forces. They became known as the Elemental Lords of Azeroth. As powerful as the Elemental lords are they were no match at all for the Pantheon who wiped the floor with them and then went after their Old God Masters. Without the ability of the old gods to keep the elementals controlled on azeroth they were banished to their new home the elemental plane where they have been fighting with each other ever since. In recent lore the master manipulator Deathwing has rallied both Ragnaros and Al'Akir to join him against the mortal races of azeroth. As such Neptulon has sided with the Horde and Alliance to defeat deathwing. When OMFG news 6 reporter Mojomaker approached Therazane on the subject she simply screamed you murdered my daughter and charged him. We certainly hope he's okay. During the later parts of the war against Stormwind (which would later be referred to as the first war.), there was a slight change of leadership within the Horde. At the start of the First War, the apprentice of the Magus Medivh, Khadgar, and the orcish emissary Garona, had found out that Medivh played a major role in the Orcs invading Azeroth. The two went to confront Medivh about his evil schemes, along with Anduin Lothar, The Lion of Azeroth, the talks then turned violent but the three were able to miraculously defeat Medivh, when khadgar stabbed him in the gut. Though Khadgar was turned into an old man by Medivh's twisted magic. Gul'dan, unfortunately for him, choose to communicate with the Guardian at the moment he died, thus resulting in Gul'dan ending up in an unshakable coma. With Gul'dan out of the way Orgrim Doomhammer, a warrior of Blackhand's Blackrock Clan, (thats's a mouth full) challenged Blackhand, totally owned him and took control of both the clan and the Horde. Doomhammer later sought out the warlocks of Gul'dan's shadow council, and slaughtered every last one of them, except for Gul'dan who was defenseless in a coma and his apprentice, the two headed ogre-magi, Cho'gall. Orgrim Doomhammer, the new Warchief of the Horde, took over where Blackhand had been forced to end. Being told by the other apprentices girls couldn't play at saving the world she went and schooled them by learning magic from texts the Council of Tirisfallen itself had trouble deciphering. Proving her strength and skill she was chosen to be the next guardian and wasted no time to begin her battle with the Burning Legion. Her first assignment was to kill off Zmodlor, a big bad demon who like to possess little children. She banished him and was given hell by the Council for not waiting to see what the demon's plot was. She told them she intended to be a proactive Guardian rather than let people suffer. Fast forward a few hundred years to Northrend. Aegwynn, tracking demons that were having a little dragon hunt discovered the Avatar of Sargeras himself. Having a case of the 'uber l33ts' she decided to face the demonic lord and sent him packing. Just before his death, the Avatar imbued Aegwynn with his spirit, hiding within her body until the time was just right. No doubt to remind her, one day, that his previous defeat was merely a setback. Unaware of this Aegwynn turned her attention to other pressing matters. After centuries of service, Aegwynn's time as guardian was coming to an end. Knowing that the Council would soon replace her with their own choice she decided to pass on the powers they gave her to a guardian <b>...</b>

Fleeing to Stormwind and King Llane Wrynn, one of Medivh's BFFs, Aegwynn told him everything. Llane along with Khadgar and Anduin Lothar set out to plot and kill her son. Wanting no part of it Aegwynn teleported to Kalimdor where she set up shop near Ratchet. She still had a smidgen of her original powers left and used them to Scry on the events unfolding around her son. When her magical Tivo showed her son's death her heart broke. Determined to fix things yet again she spent time rebuilding her strength and her magic so she could bring Medivh back to life. Revived and uncorrupted Medivh went about trying to redeem his actions and save the world he nearly destroyed. Third war anyone? So Retirement take two! Who would want to bother a tired, centuries old woman in the middle of nowhere in Kalimdor? Jaina Proudmore that's who! After some shenanigans with Arthas' main squeeze it was discovered that Zmodlor, the very first demon Aegwynn defeated, had come back. Who didn't see that one coming? Resurrected by the Legion and plotting with the Burning Blade cult, Zmodlor recruited and corrupted advisors from Thrall and Jaina's courts to start yet another war between the Humans and Orcs. The battle with the demon nearly killed Aegwynn who gave a great deal of her power to Jaina in order to save her life. How's it goin' this is Pride OMFGCata and this is Lore for Noobs : Cho'gall Cho'gal was born as the first two headed Ogre in several generations and was naturally gifted at the Arcane arts. His affinity to the arcane was quickly noted by the newly corrupted Gul'dan. so naturally he took Cho'gal under his evil little wing and taught the Ogre the ways of the Warlock. When the Shadow council had been formed, Cho'gal was Gul'dans right hand man, and when Blackhand was named Warchief, Cho'gal was granted control over the Twilights Hammer. During the 1st war, Cho'gal and the Twilights Hammer clan was in the first assualt on Stormwind City but failed to do much of anything. After Doomhammer took over the horde by defeating Blackhand, Doomhammer killed all members of the Shadow Council except for Cho'gal and the unconscious Gul'dan. However, As soon as Gul'dan woke from his comma, he was brought before Doomhammer to be judged but convinced the warcheif to spare Cho'gal and himself from death. Cho'gal and his clan did fight during the second war, but didn't do anything of much importance until the attack on Quel'thalas. Just before the battle, he transformed several Ogres into two headed monstrosities using elven rune stones. During the siege of Lordaeron, Gul'dan and Cho'gal lead both the Stormreaver and Twilights Hammer clans in leaving the battle and doomhammer to search for the tomb of Sargeras. Illidan grew up inseparable from his twin brother and their childhood friend, Tyrande Whisperwind. As time passed and they grew up, Tyrande and Malfurion were able to find their destinies while Illidan could not. Malfurion was a talented druid; trained by Cenarius himself. Unfortunately, Illidan lacked the patience to learn the art of druidism. Tyrande found her calling as a Priestess of Elune, which was a sect for females only. Illidan however found himself to be adept to the art of sorcery. During the beginning of the War of the Ancients, it appeared that Illidan had finally found his calling when he managed to impress the leader of the Night Elven military Lord Ravencrest with his magical prowess. He impressed the noble so much that he was named the personal caster of Ravencrest and eventually leader of The Moon Guard, an elite sect of non Highborne Night Elven sorcerers. The first Orc to hold the title of Warchief since the beginning of the orcish civil wars on Draenor, was the chieftain of the Shadowmoon Clan, the great shaman known as Ner'zhul. Ner'zhul was tricked into uniting the orcs of Draenor, into a single force by the demon lord, Kil'jaeden the Deceiver, who then later relieved Ner'zhul of his power and made sure Ner'zhul couldn't do anything to ruin the demon's plans for the newly formed Horde. Blackhand, Chieftain of the Blackrock Clan was given the title, by the orc warlock Gul'dan, Kil'jaeden's new servant, and former apprentice of Ner'zhul. Gul'dan needed a puppet, knowing he wasnt good enough with people to be Warchief himself, but still wanting to have control in secret, working with his Shadow Council to make sure Kil'jaeden as well as his own plans succeeded. Blackhand's rule though, was short lived. The mighty warrior, Orgrim Doomhammer, who also was a part of the Blackrock Clan, found out just exactly what Blackhand and Gul'dan were up to, and didn't like it one bit. Orgrim Doomhammer took up his mighty Banhammer, and slew Blackhand, and after that he found the Shadow Council and slaughtered them too, leaving only Gul'dan alive. Orgrim Doomhammer had taken control of the Horde, and lead them through the Eastern Kingdoms, conquering most of the south. When Orgrim's army landed on the beaches of Lordaeron, they were met by the forces of the newly formed Alliance of Lordaeron. This Alliance was founded by Anduin Lothar, who had landed in Southshore with the survivors of Stormwind. Lothar had then made his way to Capital City, to warn King Terenas Menethil the II of the Orcish threat. Terenas then called in a meeting of all the seven human kings and after much bickering, especially from Genn Greymane's side, the kings united their armies under one banner and one leader, Anduin Lothar. But the Orcs did have one surprise. After Gul'dan woke up from his coma, he was met with the most horrible fate he could possibly imagine. A fate so horrible to him, that he could only imagine the terror in his most vicious and unforgiving nightmares. No power. Orgrim Doomhammer being the one making sure of it, keeping an eye on the orc warlock, and his apprentice Cho'gall, at all times, for the last thing he wanted was Gul'dan stealing his power from right underneath him, and finding yet another puppet to lead the Horde into dishonor. Gul'dan was then escorted by Cho'gall to Doomhammer's throne where his fate would be decided. Gul'dan begged and groveled before Doomhammer, something he quickly realized, wouldn't work. So Gul'dan tried another tactic and offered Orgrim a new kind of soldier, more powerful than any of the great warriors among the orcish ranks, in exchange for his life, to which Doomhammer reluctantly agreed. Grommash Hellscream was leader of the Warsong clan of Orcs throughout the entirety of the First and Second wars, and quite a bit of the third. An Orc Chieftain of legend, he was the uncontested leader of the Warsong Clan, said to have usurped the role from the previous Warchief. Grom was the first of the Orcs to fall for the lure of demonic power offered by Mannoroth. He just happened to also be the first to accept the concept of murdering the Draenei. He and his clan were luckily spared the defeat of the Second War thanks to some manipulation by Gul'Dan. Afterwards, Grom and his Warsong clan were used to great effectiveness in the aftermath of the Second War, performing hit and run raids on human outposts in search of magical artifacts. After the destruction of the Dark Portal, the Warsong Clan was stuck in Azeroth, they were forced to scratch out a living on the outskirts of human civilization for nearly 15 years. Finally one day a young headstrong Orc named Thrall found Grom, and impressed by Thrall's , strength, courage, and mercy, he taught Thrall all he could of Orc battle strategy and society. Eventually, the humans looking for Thrall came too close, and he was forced to separate from Grom, taking his necklace as a sign of their friendship. After some time came the Third War, and with it Grom's destiny. After a rough trip across the Great Sea, the Warsong Clan reunited with Thrall's New Horde. A small fraction of the survivors of the Horde army had made it through the Dark Portal while fleeing from the Human Alliance, and when the Alliance destroyed the Portal on the Azerothian side of it two Orc guards got a little glimpse of what was happening on the other side. Orcs and humans fighting a bloody battle, they'd called Ner'zhul, and when he finally reached the portal after a fair amount of orcish soldiers, along with the original death knights, had poured through, the portal caused an explosion, and the gateway between the two worlds was no more. Two years passed, and during this time, the remaining clans on Draenor fought amongst themselves, simply because they didn't have anything else to fight. The Horde was shattered, and many of the clans believed that it was a time that was meant to be forgotten. Ner'zhul himself, though healed from his injury had gone into an 'exile' rarely showing himself even in his own village, and when Teron Gorefiend, who'd escaped to Draenor through the portal approached him in Nagrand, he only spoke of death and the death of the orcish people. It took Gorefiend a while to have Ner'zhul listen to him, and when Ner'zhul finally allowed an audience, he could at last tell Ner'zhul of a great plan.. Soon after, Ner'zhul gathered the remaining clans on Draenor, and told them that he'd open the Dark Portal again, so that they could fight for honor and glory against the humans on Azeroth, to this the orcs agreed to with barbaric glee. Arthas knew that Illidan would A - be unable to resist such power- and B - was just strong enough to defeat Tichondrius. Of course, Illidan did exactly as Arthas expected and killed Tichondrius, sealing the Burning Legions fate on azeroth. As soon as our favorite demon hunter absorbed the skull, it transformed his body. Illidan was no longer Night Elf, but he wasnt a full on demon either. He had become something MORE. As soon as Malfurion saw what Illidan had done to himself in a mad bid for power, the druid banished his brother from the forests thinking that Illidan traded his soul for more power. All Illidan had to say about this was, "So be it... brother."

After Illidan was banished from the forests by his twin brother Malfurion, he was approached by Kil'Jaeden the deciever. The Eredar offered Illidan a position of power among the Burning Legion in exchange for the destruction of the Scourge. Illidan thinking this would be a way to gain even more power, eagerly accepted the job. Illidan proceeded to awaken the Naga led by Lady Vashj and attacked several Night Elven towns to steal boats to make their way to the Broken Isles, which was once the city of Suramar, where Illidan, Malfurion and Tyrande grew up as children. Deep inside Suramar was an artifact of incredible demonic power, The Eye of Sargeras. Illidan quickly made his way through the Tomb of Sargeras and reached the eye. Little did he know, Maiev Shadowsong had been following him the whole time. Maiev and her wardens made their way through Suramar as well, and eventually confronted Illidan. But it was too late, Illidan used the eye to bring the Tomb down on Maiev and her wardens killing all of them. Except Maiev. Reinforcements from Malfurion and Tyrande quickly arrived sending Illidan on the run. The Naga and Illidan set sail to Silverpine, where they would make their way to the ruins of Dalaran and begin to cast a spell that would melt Icecrown glacier and destroy the Frozen Throne.
