The band called The Black Satans was born in the summer of 2005 when Klitors, Heijargh and Naamosh were on a cruise ship. The guys got a glorious drunken idea to form a true Norwegian black metal band. Years went by, and the band hardly progressed at all. Later Masturbørg joined the band because of pity and he became the singing and dancing vocalist of The Black Satans. Still very little was done to advance the band. The first track from Norway's prolific experimetal band Ulver's 1996 concept album "Nattens madrigal - Aatte hymne til ulven i manden", translated: "Madrigal of the Night - Eight Hymns to the Wolf in Man". The album is rife with lycantropic themes, each track beginning with "Of Wolf and". Later, the band strayed away from their black and folk metal roots and developed a more ambient/experimental sound. Ulver is a personal favorite of mine and for good reason: Innovation. No two Ulver albums are alike. In 2000, after releasing the ambient-sounding "William Blake's The Marriage of Heaven and Hell" in 1998, Ulver had lost virtually all identity with the black metal scene marked by the release of the electronica-toned "Perdition City", very different from this album, but still worth a listen to.

I got really annoyed about most of the video's with the 'True Norwegian Black Metal' title which contained crappy bands. So i decided to make my own. Almost every song in this video is an early release (around 1993). Most of the bands have a completely different sound now. Bands who really changed with their sound and lineup are: - Darkthrone (Their new releases have more punk influences like the FOAD Album and Dark Thrones and Black Flags. I also recommend those albums if you are a black metal listener who is also into some old skool punk. - Mayhem (The guitarist on Deathcrush 'Euronymous' (very very famous name in the black metal scene) got murdered by Varg Vikernes (Burzum) due several reasons. The guy on the right of that picture called 'Dead' he is not on the Deathcrush recordings but he committed suicide in 1991. His name is also well-known in the black metal scene. - Satyricon their sound is really different, it has higher quality nowadays and they just changed like most bands do over the years. - Emperor The song in the video is pretty low quality demo of them which i really like. They also changed over the years like Satyricon did. - Burzum, Its a Soloproject by Varg Vikernes who got a 14 year sentence because he was guilty of Arson and Murder. He wrote a couple of interesting things about his political statements on his website. And also a highly detailed story about the night that he killed Euronymous. I guess it will take a few months/years when he gets out of <b>...</b>

Gjenferdsel is a Norwegian Black metal band, their lyrical themes are Pain, Suffering and Norwegian Nature This song is from their album "I" Released in 2006. History: In year 2002, Iudex had some visions for an upcoming black metal band. He decided to put his idea into existence, and named it GJENFERDSEL. The band was supposed to be built on strong ideologies, individualism, and to have its root in the Norwegian nature and origin. He got in contact with Iratus, which handled the drums. The first song was created, and two years later, in 2004, their conceptual demo "Det kom et skip til Björgvin..." was released. The demo was based upon the black plague, how it arrived in Norway, and how the conditions were back in 1349. The response on the demo was mostly positive, especially outside the nordic countries the response was overwhelming. After the recording of the demo, GJENFERDSEL started to create material for the next release, which was planned to be recorded in a studio. In early 2005, Invictus joined the band as a session/live bassist to fulfill GJENFERDSEL as a live band. A bit later, Iudex figured out that he needed more improvement, and wanted to evolve the band. Drastic changes had to be made and he broke with Iratus. Invictus replaced him as a drummer, which advanced the band musically. The band was signed on the Germany label Ketzer Records for a record-deal. Infestus joined the band as a session bassist in early 2006 as the final piece in GJENFERDSEL. This made <b>...</b>
