Steve Schultz, with the Louisville and Southern Indiana Bridges Authority, takes official notice of the NO TOLLS Resolutions passed by the City of New Albany, Indiana and the Louisville, Kentucky Metro Council. With one slight hiccup. Schultz didn't know whether it was Jeffersonville or New Albany that had passed a resolution. After all, why would he care. He's only the Executive Director of the Bridges Authority. Kudos to Shawn Reilly for laying the folders out in front of the Authority members with copies of the resolutions before the meeting. At the September 20th, 2010 Jeffersonville City Council Meeting, Shawn Reilly delivered public comments. His comments were not followed by applause as Jeffersonville Mayor Tom Galligan had informed the crowded room that he had a Policeman at the back of the room, following the outbreak that ensued after Paul Fetter's public comments. The NO Toll resolution, introduced by courageous Councilman Keith Fetz, died that night after a 6-1 vote against the resolution. Be sure to thank Keith for his support, but especially let the dissenting PRO-TOLL council members know how you feel about their position, too. We might have lost this battle, but we haven't lost the war.
