National Solidarity Party makes official complaint to Election Board for the possible infringement of the cooling day regulations put in place for the first time in Singapore General Elections. The NSP Marine Parade Candidates made their way to the Election Board of Singapore to hear the reply from the department on their findings for their complaint. 2 Complaints were made, one was the distribution of booklet in Tampines in one of the blocks and the other was on PAP candidate for Marine Parade GRC, Tin Peiling for having to post a comment on her facebook account which has been designated as an official media platform for her election campaign. From what is known from the candidates from NSP, the Election Board will take no actions until NSP officially makes a police report. Till then, no further actions would be taken.

At a press conference held at the NSP headquarters today, Secretary General Mr Goh Meng Seng introduced the seven members who will be contesting in the coming General Elections. Five will be contesting Tampines Group Representative Constituency (GRC), while two others will contest a Single Member Constituency (SMC) each. The Tampines GRC team consists of Mr Goh , 41; Mr Gilbert Goh, 40; Mr Reno Fong Chin Leong, 42; Mr Syafarin Sarif, 35; and Mr Raymond Lim, 27. They will be pitted against a PAP team helmed by the ruling party's Minister for National Development, Mr Mah Bow Tan. A key campaign issue the NSP team will focus on is housing prices. "The problem with housing is that a 20-year mortgage is not affordable. If people are unable to afford it, it's due to the high housing prices, it's as simple as that," said Mr Goh Meng Seng. SINGAPORE: Singapore Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong said he is accountable for the policies put in place at the time when he was Prime Minister. Mr Goh was responding to the National Solidarity Party's comments that their team at Marine Parade will take on Mr Goh on the issue of accountability for national policies in areas such as housing and transportation.
