Starcraft 2, Brutal difficulty walkthrough with commentary Mission 26: All In (Nydus version) Build a sea of siege tanks under the artifact ledge and behind a wall of planetary fortresses. Literally thousands of zerg will attack over a roughly 20 minute period. Seriously! Use the artifact once every few minutes to kill everything on screen; just make sure you save it for when you really need it. Kerrigan will respawn every few minutes; use a marine horde to kill her, since her one-shot kill spell will be too costly against thors, BCs, or other similar units. Put psi disrupters everywhere. Use your starting banshees and BCs to defend the rear of the base against overlord drops (they aren't very strong; just a couple units will do the trick). Good luck! This mission is hard as hell, and incredibly fun. My walkthroughs focus on beating the levels, getting research options, and achieving (most of) the bonus objectives. They do not focus on special challenges or perfection. I am hardly the best SC2 player, but hopefully my strategies will help the other players out there who are struggling with Brutal difficulty. Few things to note : 1 fraps gets my computer real laggy, you won't notice it while watching the video but i definetly suffer from it especially while trying to shift building multiple structures. So my apologies for the time spent placing down buildings. 2 Positioning of your tanks and turrets must be perfect, this is what makes it work creating a ''killzone'' at both your chokes. Do not try to hold both chokes and place your buildings/tanks differently, it may very well not work. 3 Kerrigan won't go down to your tanks, you need marines for that, lots of marines. Blow the artifact and send your marines in. I choose to use the Hercules dropship to carry my marines in and out, if you don't have this researched you will need 3-4 medivacs. (carefull they are very weak!) The reason i'm not simply running my marines out of the two holes i left is because when Kerrigan comes you want them clumped togheter, stim up and steamroll. If you run your marines out they'll come out one by one in a line wich isn't a good thing. 4 Tech and upgrades used : - Stim pack - Combat shields - Perdition tower (the flame one) - slow tower - Tanks damage and friendly fire reduced - Hercules - Orbital command - Automated refineries & increased production rate from them - Tech <b>...</b>

FIRST PART In this FFA (free for all) match where I (EggsandBacon) play as Zerg, I basically demonstrate extremely superior zerg play, although I'm just referring to my opponents, I'm no pro. Anyways, I start off a little vulnerable but as seems to happen often in FFA, I'm left alone for the most part. Anyways, I take the chance to build an immediate natural expansion hatchery and then do the standard spawning colony and pump a few roaches to defend against possible attacks. I also make heavy use of the queen's spawn larva ability to get way more units, I'm sure, compared to my opponents. Check out parts 2 and 3 for what happens after I put all those units into my nydus network.

SECOND PART In this FFA (free for all) match where I (EggsandBacon) play as Zerg, now we get into some action. I'm playing against 3 other zerg so don't forget, my forces are nothing they couldn't have put together in the same amount of time. Anyways, With a good amount of hydras and roaches, I plop a nydus worm right in the back of my first victim's base, and with superior play I even manage to defeat all three of his defending ultralisks he was teching. All this while protecting my natural expansion back home. Anyways, he continues to pump ultralisks and finally kills off the hydras I sent up, and while distracting him with another nydus worm, I start to pump mutalisks. With my superior economy, I have around 6-9 up in no time and destroy his expansion's workers. He's continued to pump ultras though, so i pick them off with the mutas plus even more that just spawned. With 15 mutas now, I continue to destroy his base and he continues to pump ultralisks and fails to do really any damage with them at all. I get about 17 more mutas and the first guy is toast. Finally, near the end of this part you see as the blue player decides to send some mutalisks my way but I dispatch them very quickly even though if this guy reacted faster he couldve done more than kill one of my queens. I start a third expansion and get ready to start with the next guy...see what happens in part 3!

Ever since the first Starcraft, one of the few strategies that has made me give myself a congratulatory pat on the back or made bro-fist my right fist with my left, is none other than sneaking a nydus into an enemy's base and then flood it with zerglings. Your opponent can only stare helplessly while the zerglings hump his base into oblivion. In Starcraft 2 all you need to do is create a Nydus Worm on one side and have vision on the other side where you want your connecting end to spawn, as shown in the video. The Nydus Worm will generate creep and unload all your units when you command it to. What's also really useful now is that from a single Nydus Worm you can spawn many others which serve as much as entrances as they serve as exits. So now you can make a whole highway of Nydus Worms with multiple destinations, unlike the first Starcraft where the Nydus thingie was just a one way and return flight.

Basically, I used to play Starcraft 1 and rush with zerg, with the new maps in Starcraft 2 with the rocks that block the bases I cannot do that effectively. So, I developed a new way to rush with the Nydus canal and zerglings. Basically you run your Overlord to their base and build a Nydus in the corner, viola usually you catch them off guard and win. By the way I am in no way a good player, but some people don't understand how the new Nydus Network works so I figured I'd post which explains how it works.

See the revision: www.youtube.com The power of the Zerg has increased since the original Starcraft game. Deploying your army is easier than ever now that the Nydus Worm (Upgrade of the Nydus Canal). This building allows an unlimited amount of input/output locations across the map, meaning that deploying 3 will allow a quick raid on an enemy location using way-points and 'unload all' together. This is my main favorite about the SC2 upgrade of Zerg as it adds extra fun as a Zerg Player and makes it that lil bit harder as a Terran or Protoss player. Seeing as the building only has 200 hit points, it isn't hard to interrupt whilst it is building. This video is a simple raid, I had killed off 3 other computers already as to avoid interruption of my attack. The computers were set to 'Medium' (that is, 3/7 intensity) so they were easy to kill, this was simply to show a successful use of the strategy, on hard it would of been much more challenging to pull this off. THIRD PART In this FFA (free for all) match where I (EggsandBacon) play as Zerg, after relatively easily dispatching the first opponent in part 2 after superior economy in part 1, I get ready to see if my nydus surprise will work on the second zerg opponent. Guess what happens, YEP he goes down hard. Before that, though, he starts complaining that his 7 roach attack didnt go through because he was trying something new, but I have no idea what his plan was, he must not have thought I could have had 36 mutalisks ready to counter whatever the heck he throws at me. He throws some corruptors but My mutas take them down easily. So my nydus surprise works again, and my ultras and hydras combine with my mutas to decimate his entire base. Be sure to see his response to utter humiliation, it's rather cute. Finally I decide to see if I can pull off another nydus on the last zerg and whaddaya know, I do. Anyways, he admits defeat although he seems to stick around to make sure I don't quit prematurely or d/c and decides to have a last ditch attempt to destroy me by way of spore creepers. Unfortunately for him, I have 3 expansions, and plenty of ultralisks even if he managed to take out my mutas, and he finally gives up.
