This isn't really a fanvideo so much as it is a collection of this man being extremely funny. I am madly in love with Oliver Platt and every time I find out that he's in a movie I want to see, I get excited because I know he will make that movie a million times better. He's fucking solid and if you don't agree that he is enormously talented, I don't even understand you as a person. I already love him because he seems to spring up everywhere in some of my favourite movies (Flatliners, X-Men: First Class, Benny & Joon) but I fell in love with him in Casanova. As much as I LOVE Heath Ledger, I woulda been like the mother and gone with Paprizio instead. And when I saw Year One a few months ago, oh my god!! He stole the show. In a comedy with Jack Black, Michael Cera, and David Cross he fucking stole the show!! That is unheard of. I want to have his babies. Twitter.com - Follow Us! Oliver Platt joins the cast of X-Men. Stay tuned for the details. Hey guys, welcome back to Clevver Movies. I'm Amanda Janner with your X-Men casting update. Oliver Platt has officially signed on to Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class. The actor will play a mysterious, non-mutant character known as 'The Man in Black.' The X-Men cast has been expanding quickly, with Jason Flemyng staring as Azazel, who is the father of the mutant Nightcrawler and, like Nightcrawler, has the ability to teleport. Actress Rose Byrnes is in negotiations to play Moira MacTaggert, who is a scientist and an expert on genetic mutation. She's also the love interest of James McAvoy's character, Professor Charles Xavier. As for Oliver Platt's role, not much is known about his character, but many suspect he may be a partner-in-crime to the X-Men villain, played by Kevin Bacon.
