New for 2008, Orange Amps rolls out two killer heads at NAMM. First up is the vintage-flavored OR 50, a single channel monster with a special boost and a foot-switchable master. Also, check out the cool 40th anniversary head which will be made with 40 different circuits and given the names of 40 different girls. Jimmy Page has the first one (he's been using a version Orange's AD 30TC for a while now).

This demo shows off the Orange Rockerverb 50 and Orange PPC 212 cab and in the 2nd example I wind back the amp's gain and use the new T-Rex Moller stomp box to add massive amounts of gain :) Both examples were recorded using a Suhr Modern into a Tapco Audio Interface using an Armor Gold cable and recorded into Reaper. My first gear demo. If you like what you hear check out my metal band Sorizon on Facebook, myspace, or www.sorizon.net. Many of the riffs I play are Sorizon riffs. Disclaimer: The mobile pre interface really takes away from the tone especially on the distortion channel. I couldn't even turn the amp up loud enough to get the best tones because having the mic gain low on the mobile pre made it sound worse. I'll record some stuff with a better interface soon to do the gear more justice. Enjoy!
