Category: Music Zoltan Orosz is one of the most talented contemporary musicians: accordionist. Zoltan Orosz inherited the love of the accordion from his father, who early noticed the outstanding talent of his son. Zoltan was four years old when he got his first 8 bass accordion. In 1977, when he was only 11 years old, he started his studies at the Bela Bartok music conservatory in Budapest. There, he mastered playing not only the accordion but the organ as well. He was then enrolled at the Academy of Weimar, at the accordion specialty. He then won 3 years in a row, in 1998, 1999, 2000 the Hungarian National Accordion Championships in adult category. Zoltan has performed in numerous CD and DVD recordings, details can be found at his website (www.harmonika.hu). Zoltan is a returning artist of the Singapore and Siberia festivals and has performed in numerous cities of the world. In March 2000 he has received the very prestigious eMeRTon award from Radio Hungary. With singer Attila Bardoczy they entered a chanson competition in Paris and won the award for „Best Foreign Performers. He has also been recognized with the Hungarian Artisjus Award in 2008.
