Tezuka Osamu-Jumping

Dr.Osamu Tezuka November 3 1928- February 9 1989 He was a Mangaka, Japanese manga artist and animator. Born in Osaka Prefecture, he is best known as the creator of Astro Boy and Kimba the White Lion. He is often credited as the Father of Anime, and the Walt Disney of Japan. In this short film a boy skips down a street, his stride becomes bigger and bigger, and he then jumps over towns, a forest, the sea, going higher and further. Finally he reaches a country in wartime. This work is very interesting in that the boy's jump turns to a god's jump, to a point where he is watching over human destiny. This work surprised the entire world because the whole film was shot in one cut with 4000 motion pictures. It received many awards. Original Plan, Story line and Rendition: Tezuka Osamu Producer: Matsutani Takayuki Animation: Kobayashi Junji Effective Sounds: Kurahashi Shizuo Assistant Producer: Kubota Minoru More Info en-f.tezuka.co.jp

Osamu Tezuka tribute - Somewhere Over the Rainbow

Anime I used: Princess Knight/Ribbon no Kishi Astro Boy/Tetsuwan Atom (1960s and 1980s series) Black Jack (2004 TV anime, The Two Doctors Of Darkness, Dr Pinoko's Adventure, Black Jack 21) Bagi, the Monster of Mighty Nature/Daishizen no Maju Bagi Kimba the White Lion/Jungle Taitei (1960s series, Jungle Emperor Leo movie) Dororo Phoenix/Hi no tori (Fire bird 2772, Phoenix: Karma Chapter OVA, the 2004 tv series) I wanted to make this ever since my friends said this song reminds her of some of Tezuka's earlier works. It was going to be a slideshow with a shortened version of the song. I finally made it even if I think the song is too happy for many of his works.

The Top Ten Moves of Osamu Nishimura

Osamu Nishimura is a somewhat rare breed in the wrestling scene of Japan. In a country dominated by hard hitters, aerial artists, and Suplex machines, Osamu's style is highly technical, and one that would remind many a wrestling fan of someone like Dory Funk, Jr.(someone that Nishimura admired a great deal). Debuting for New Japan Pro Wrestling in 1991, he would float around aimlessly until 1994, when he would embark on a learning excursion to the United States. There, he would compete in the now infamous NWA World Heavyweight Title tournament, losing in the first round to Dean Malenko. Back in Japan, he would follow another idol of his, Tatsumi Fujinami, when Fujinami first formed his MUGA promotion. After the promotion floundered, Nishimura returned to New Japan, aiding Shinya Hashimoto in the struggle against NWO Japan. However, disaster struck, as Nishimura was diagnosed with cancer. After being out of action for two years, Nishimura returned, and once again traveled to the US This time, he was sent to the Funkin' Conservatory, and trained under the watchful eye of Dory Funk, Jr. He captured the FC United States Title during this time. Back in Japan, Nishimura began to climb the ranks, feuding with Minoru Suzuki, a fellow technical wrestling expert. He won the IWGP Tag Team Titles alongside Hiroyoshi Tenzan, but was soon left on his own after losing the belts, with Tenzan focusing on the IWGP Heavyweight Title. In 2004, he traveled to All Japan Pro Wrestling, and took ...
