Written and performed by London based five-piece The Provisos (formerly Runfever) 'Oyster Card Blues' is a cautionary tale about an internet date that goes wrong. A guy blows all his money in a bar, goes back to her house, does the deed then tries to flee the scene whilst she's in the toilet. He robs her travel card and is about to vacate the premises as her husband comes home and catches him. The woman pretends he's robbing the place and the husband hurls him downstairs. The song demonstrates the band's soul and funk influences. The band opted for a literal translation of the lyrics to add drama to the song's narrative. This is an urgent request to all of the makers of the Oyster Card Scheme, I do believe that now it is high time, that the Oyster Card scheme went completely beyond all of London, and into the entire national field of England. The Oyster Card Scheme: oyster.tfl.gov.uk As the rail fares are increasing, the Oyster Card should NOT do the same, the only reason why the costs of Rail Fares going up is because lets face it. Using Train Tickets are just too too old fashioned, and it is such a nuisance to both passengers and train ticketmaster's. Also people that commute to work, or on holiday should actually use only the oyster card scheme imagine to potential for that to go to the entire English country. Oyster could get such a mint from all of this. It is such a shame that it is only for the entire Greater London area, but there are so many demands beyond London to get this scheme. And I fully support it all the way.
