Watch this elephant paint a beautiful image of an elephant holding a flower. You'll be amazed at how her talent unfolds as she carefully completes each stroke. Her mahout talks to her throughout the process as his gentle touch gives her confidence. She focuses on her work and seems to enjoy the approval of the audience and, of course, the sugar cane and banana treats. All of her training has been reward based. So touched by their horrific backgrounds and loving personalities, ExoticWorldGifts.com now supports, "Starving Elephant Artisans" by selling their paintings so they can continue to have a new life in Thailand. Own a print of the art for $15. Some Thai elephant experts believe that the survival of the Asian elephant species will most likely depend on the good treatment of the elephants in well managed privately owned elephant camps. All of us would prefer that all of the elephants be free to be in the wild. For many reasons, that is not possible at this time. You can learn more and purchase these unique paintings at www.ExoticWorldGifts.com

Another digital painting done from scratch in photoshop using Wacom Intuos 3 tablet. Artwork is completely freehand drawn, with reference photo set off to the side for glancing at. No tracing... ;-) Actual time to do pic was about 3 and a half hours. UPDATE: For the people that think this is fake-- simply do a little research. It's as easy as clicking on my username to see the list of all of my other videos. There you will find an array of different subjects and different mediums... Including photo real techniques with real paint. It it's a pretty reasonable conclusion that if I can do the things I do with real paint-- why would I feel the need or insecurity to fake it with the "less impressive" digital mediums? Why waste my time? You could also consider the efforts it would take to fake such a thing- consider the layering of the shadows and gradients... Look at how carefully it is done in these vids. There is a visible build-up of LAYERS of tones shadows and colors. To fake something like that would take so much effort, why would a guy who can do all of the other OBVIOUS traditional medium paintings on the same channel waste his time? TO MANY PEOPLE ASK: Why "photorealism"? Why not just use a camera? The answer is simple. I've made the point many times in my replies, comments and descriptions. But I'll make it clearer here for those who do not understand: It's for practice. It is the same as a musician practicing scales, so that he can write better songs...Or even a <b>...</b>

As a young child, San Pedro immersed himself in art, spending most of his time drawing. People quickly grew fond of the young artist's creations. San Pedro was surrounded by all types of music and live stage shows, being raised in Las Vegas. The artist's father was friends with Siegfried and Roy, which led to Nick having many opportunities to share his works with them throughout his adolescence. Roy was especially encouraging, and his acknowledgment of San Pedro's talent was all the artist needed to believe that his artwork was truly magical. San Pedro's love for music and performance led to the creation of many works of art that would eventually gain attention from musicians coming to perform in the entertainment capitol of the world. In 2002, while attending college, San Pedro was commissioned to produce artwork for 'NBC's Last Call with Carson Daly'. The following year, The artist was hired to paint eight musicians, including Madonna, for the 45th Annual Grammy Awards Pre-Party. What do you do with fresh McDonald's French Fries and 10 packets of Ketchup? You paint with them of course. 50 min speed painting plays in 4 mins. Ketchup as paint and french fries as a paint brush. I had to remove the original song because of copyright infringement. Unfortunately the YouTube AudioSwap beta also reduced the quality of the video. When I get a chance I will upload a new higher quality video. I am also in the process of having some limited edition posters and artist prints made. I will be selling these prints on ebay to raise money for the CARE World Hunger Campaign. Please check out my other videos where I draw with more traditional mediums. Coming in April I am starting a series of instructional videos on how to draw portraits. I am also holding a contest on YouTube soon to win your own portrait. So subscribe to my channel to keep updated. Now to answer some questions.. The painting Measures 14x11 inches on foamcore surface. It is not permanent the video is the art. I did this as an excercise for the purpose of, quite simply, practice. It's been a while since I attempted anything photo-real... It's very good to do this kind of thing because it strengthens your freehand drawing abilities, as well as developing an eye for detail. The World of Matte Painting Matte Painting From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia A matte painting is a painted representation of a landscape, set, or distant location that allows filmmakers to create the illusion of an environment that would otherwise be too expensive to build or visit. Historically, matte painters and film technicians have used various techniques to combine a matte-painted image with live-action footage. At its best, depending on the skill levels of the artists and technicians, the effect is "seamless" and creates environments that would otherwise be impossible to film. interested? A small collection of photographs I have made of paintings by Rembrandt. These were taken at various museums and auction houses in the USA and Europe. Set to the music of JS Bach, Prelude No. 12, F-minor, BWV 857 from the Well-Tempered Clavier (Das Wohltemperierte Klavier). Rembrandt would not have known Bach's music, but this music is as fitting as I could find at the moment. The marriage of music and the visual arts is powerful and it is fun to be the matchmaker.

I noticed that one dolphin of the group was looking more "aware" than the other, so I decided to see how she will do with painting. I've seen a LOT of facilities where doing this already, so nothing was really new at first. That's why I wanted to push the experience further, to see if this dolphin could be aware of what she was doing, instead of just holding a pencil, and having someone moving the sheet, like I noticed in some other facility. In my case, the frame is stable on a platform and I'm not holding it or touching it. Also, the dolphin is outside as well and stable, so what she wanted to do is also not influenced by the movement of the water. As you can see, the video speaks by itself, and I was quite pleased by the results. This dolphin was so enjoying it at the end, than even sometimes she was doing it without any primary reinforcement. Look correctly at the video, you can actually see her looking at what she did between each time she draw. :)

The paintings of Vincent Van Gogh set to Don McLean's "Starry Starry Night". Holy crap, I did not see this video getting over 2 million views. That is insane. Obviously, I'm not active on here anymore. You can find me on Twitter at twitter.com and tumblr at mrjamesacarter.tumblr.com I also have two new YouTubes under "AdamsRocksHurt" and "MrJamesACarter." Thanks for all the love! I did this on an old Windows with Windows Movie Maker, when I was younger and frankly, feeling pretty low. If I've made anyone feel less alone or brought anyone any amount of comfort... then making this video was worth it. Bless all of you. And if you find this, hello Miss Smith.
